  1. Gday Tom, The car you've sent has the exact issues as I was having with mine, the suspension glitches through the car when accelerating and braking (which I managed to fix on my car), however the same issue of initially crashing to desktop (which I also fixed by moving things around in the heirarchy - possibly the cause of my issue) exists on your landstalker/polpatriot. Thanks for trying, think I'm going to have to give up, at least I know it wasn't just some freak problem on my export etc. Aussie. EDIT: Resolved issues, was a collision issue, particularly Zmodeler not exporting the files COL mesh settings correctly, now resolved and working as it should, thanks Tom H.
  2. They need to be set up as an extra_* in the model inside zmodeler to enable any lights to flash when ELS is enabled. Aussie.

  4. Emergency 5 is Emergency 2012 isn't it? That site is all in german for me but I'm going to keep an eye on this stuff because 2012 wasn't mod-able, if they learnt from their mistakes and make this mod-able I'll grab it most likely, I'd love to see an updated LA mod or the like and there's no shortage of talent still in the Emergency community.   5. If you're running 1070 then the dsound option in LCPDFR 95RC2 should work fine, try running as admin etc. If it's not working and you have 1070 I have no idea what to tell you. As stated the only alternative to dsound is the xliveless. Aussie.

  7. Does anyone have an unlocked Landstalker model that is editable in Zmodeler to use as a Polpatriot? I tried to import the default GTAIV Landstalker, rename it and import but when I export it and put it into my vehicles.img, in game it loads up but crashes when the windows take damage, if I modify the hierarchy I can get it to stop crashing but instead I get invisible collision geometry in-game. I noticed that Lt. Caine released a few Landstalker's for the Polpatriot slot but his is unfortunately a locked model so I figure I'd ask here as a lot of people have released other default GTAIV cars unlocked. Aussie.

  9. To be practical, you won't get it to run smoothly AND have good quality, it's simply not possible in GTAIV with those very sub-par specs. Your best bet would be to turn down your resolution and in-game quality. 2GB of RAM is a severe limitation and I see you're running XP so upgrading the amount of RAM would likely have a neglible effect on the game running speed. Your other option is getting Windows 7 and more RAM along with a better video card. Having 512MB of video memory in GTAIV is also going to severely limit your experience with the game, you'll need to make a trade-off. Performance or ok graphics. I'm also speaking from experience because I used to play GTAIV on specs very similar to yours and found no matter what I did I couldn't get both good graphics and good performance. Regards, Aussie.
  10. Copy, stopping. This also isn't the place for it snippro12 but I'd suggest you have a look at the quadraflare pack, maybe you can import that, scale it, configure it and use two of those in the grill. Aussie.
  11. I'm all for opinions, but when it's pointless to say something negative when he isn't saying anything that can help, that's when I say something back. You also didn't ask snippro12, you stated: So because you're being lazy and don't bother to learn to do it yourself or learn how to improve it, it's a bad advisor. Do better then comment about it being good or bad, please. In your signature you say any help is much appreciated but then you badmouth a free addon that was ONLY released for people to learn how it's made and use it in their mods. Aussie. On topic: Really great list of unlocked models, a few here I've experimented with and a few I'd not even heard about so much appreciated, keep up the good work.
  12. Really bad advisor? Find one better or make one yourself, in the meantime keep your negative thoughts to yourself about a freely released unlocked model. I've used the lightbar in a few cars and with minor texture tweaking can look just as good or better than some others. Aussie.
  13. Copy the line in his description into your handling.dat file, paste it over the top of the numbers that are after POLPAT in the handling file.

Hey mate, it's all good, it was a question, no need to explain the delays, I'd prefer it to release soon, but at the same time, this is your second child, she's 6 pounds, your first was tiny compared to her, get her out in the world when she's good and ready, the less screaming, the less complaints from people right :).   17. From my trial and error it looks like you need to put the textures for the car and lightbar into your car's .wtd file with openiv. But without seeing the steps you've taken I could be wrong. Regards, Aussie.

Hey mate, love the model but I wanted to let you know that for me and the other person we tested it with, the car disappears past about 30-40m, from my limited knowledge in the modeling in the game, I'm thinking there's either missing lods or disabled lods? Hope to see a working version or a definite no to it being fixed as I'd love to continue using it. Regards and thank you for the model, 7/10 from me due to the lod issue. Aussie.

  22. Hi everyone, I'm hitting a major snag with my model that I've been working on the past two or three days. It's a charger that F5544 uploaded to the site, I've managed to successfully add a rambar from BxBugs123 from GPM as well as the Whelen Justice also from BxBugs123 but try as I might, I cannot get either my Whelen Talon set up correctly or a second lightbar I decided to try. I've tried deleting the model of the lightbar, tried a completely different lightbar (Code 3 XT from BxBugs123) and I still cannot get the lights to visibly flash on the secondaries. I can see the effect of the light on the car and the ground but the actuall lights don't flash, they just stay turned off. If anyone is able to help me I'm uploading the wft and wtd file and the z3d for anyone in the know that can have a look and possibly point out my error, because despite watching multiple videos on the topic and watching tutorials from GPM and BPM I can't get the secondaries to work.   23. EVI's 2012 Charger has a brilliant template, I've just made a skin for it but had to stop using it due to the lack of secondary lights on the Beat Unit. Regards, Aussie.
