  1. Reworked the doors and hood of the Taurus. New imagery used and made the sides and hood more like the Detroit PD colour scheme (apart from the cars being black, not white base). Comparing the two in game and I like the new version a lot more and will now be using this design and imagery for the remaining vehicles. List of used vehicles for the liveries is in the spoiler below. Vehicle list Screenshots of Taurus Slicktop Hoping to complete a few more vehicles this week now that I have a design concept I am happy with.
  2. I should have taken a screenshot, so I apologise for that.
  3. Maximum detail on all settings. The entire vehicle renders properly, except the wheels disappear completely after around 75m. Other vehicles don't do that so it seems to be a lod issue. I noticed that a number of other vehicle mods also do the same thing, however they have updated their models to correct the issue.
  4. Just wondering if anyone else has the issue of disappearing wheels at around 75-100 meters. There's no vehicles.meta etc file in this mod so I can't see that being the problem. For now I will find another ambulance to use. Nice mod, but that issue has stopped me from continuing to use it.
  5. Head over to http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/ and install that and try again. That is what I needed to run ELS and PLD. Try it and see how you go.
  6. On scene for an officer involved shooting, the officer was announced DOA by paramedics. The shooter was a known wanted felon, also killed. Was going to remove the HUD etc but decided to just capture it as is. Have to start doing some actual shots instead of just in-game action screen-caps.
  7. Check your asi loader log, it will usually be a good place to find out the problem. My problem was that I didn't have scripthookv installed so no plugins would load apart from LSPDFR.
  8. Second vehicle skinned, just need to do custom plates (had to find a different Crown Victoria model as the RCMP model has the strips on the front doors removed and the Miami Dade unit that I skinned doesn't use the built in plates). Looking at the hood of the vehicles, I am thinking I need to rework them a bit. Suggestions are welcome. Crown Vic and Slick-top Taurus.
  9. Day 5 Running my newly finished first version of the Detroit inspired LSPD skin (so far only the slick Taurus from the RCMP pack is completed). Also running a new siren and sound pack. Comments are welcome, give me feedback so that I can look at improving. Above all else, enjoy.
  10. Only have the doors done so far, still customising the emergency markings on the rear and deciding on the bonnet. This skin is currently on the Slicktop Taurus from the RCMP pack, which is what I am working on at the moment, however I will be doing skins for the rest of their pack. Also deciding on using numbering and multiple liveries or not. Version 1 - Slicktop Taurus Screenshot Comments/critique welcome. Next screenshots will probably be edited into this post, so as not to flood my own thread with small updates.
  11. By not working, do you mean that they aren't showing up? If so are you running ELS? If you are running ELS and they are not ELS vehicles that may explain why they don't work as ELS uses the extras to show lights on and off. As for the vehicles, do you have any photos of inspiration, or even any vehicle models that you want skinned? Or are you wanting custom models and liveries as well. Need more information on both parts.
  12. Just a informational update. Having found the huge number of LAPD styled vehicle textures already available here, I have decided to look for inspiration for a custom vehicle livery pack so if anyone has ideas or suggestions, let me know. At the moment I have started working on a pack of liveries using New Providence Detroit Police Department as a theme, using Los Santos Police Department markings and skyline image. Give me a yell here or PM ideas through for me to work on. Appreciate it.
  13. Short stream today, had a few issues with the vehicles I chose to use, lights etc (probably my fault). Regardless was a good stream. Thinking I will do more recorded and edited footage than streaming for a while until I know my mods are good and working properly. Hoping to find some inspiration for my own fleet of vehicles which I am working on, I had started LSPD using LAPD layouts and then found the long list of already made in that theme so if you guys have any suggestions for something different that I can attempt, give me a shout. Regards, comment what you will.
  14. Ah no worries, was about to post back, I did the skins just now and tried them in game, for some reason the car wasn't rendering the textures for the ram-bar or light bar properly. Was good to practice in Photoshop though. Are his textures on here or did he PM? Wouldn't mind seeing how his came up. PM'd through mine regardless, even as extra liveries. Regards.
  15. I will take a look, have some mock up LAPD textures for different packs that I scrapped but still have the files for. Will download that charger specifically and have a look at the template layout. Cheers.
  16. Live Streaming right now if anyone wants to head over to support a fellow LSPDFR member, running some of my newly completed texture pack for RCMP pack by OfficerWalters. Stream completed: Regards, comment what you wish.
  17. Short stream today, encountered a few bugs in the game from whatever caused them. Decided to try out nefariousbonnes ELS vanilla pack, not too bad apart from a few tidbits. Will be hopefully completing a couple more vehicle skins for my custom skin pack for the RCMP pack that I am using. if they are ready enough for my own liking I will show them off in my livestream tonight, around 1900 AEST tonight, depending on bugs and crashes as to how long it will go for, likely 2 or 3 hours. Hope to see some of you there to chin wag and talk about LSPDFR and whatever else. Regards.
  18. Hello all, decided to undertake some customised textures for my YouTube channel and once done if anyone is interested I am likely going to release them. So far I am moving reasonably slowly however my first custom skin is completed and working in-game. Once I have more time to spare, I will be looking into creating vehicle mods, not just skins. I have used parts out of the LAPD Template pack here on LCPDFR.com so credits to: vladimir850fcvp71 Skins are mostly going to be based on So far I have 3 liveries for Police4 - Slicktop Taurus. Two liveries are car #89024 Division 10, car #88982 Division 09, one Stealth livery without numbering and limited markings to ID as a PD unit. Comments welcome, critique. Will be working on the rest of the vehicle skins and posting updates as I complete more of the vehicles.
  19. LiveStream today, around 2 hours worth of pursuits, carnage, AI fun, death. Long citation and arrest reports. Played as realistically as I could within reason. Enjoy, comments and critique welcome.. AussieMerc.
  20. Day 4 Getting back into the swing of commentation properly through the video like I used to. Had some background noise today due to family gathering. Today had me undertaking a number of different callout types, pursuits, robbery in progress, stolen police vehicle, finishing up with a red light runner resulting in a pursuit to close out Day 4. Enjoy, comments and critique welcome.. AussieMerc.
  21. Day 3 Enjoy, comments and critique welcome, still learning the keybinds again. AussieMerc.
  22. It's been a long time coming, but I have decided to start my own series of LSPDFR with my new system and improved Rage engine graphical detail. Here you will be able to find all of my uploaded YouTube videos for LSPDFR. I will be uploading shorter videos than I used to and will possibly look into making mods again, but only if time permits me. Without further ado. Day 1 Day 2 Enjoy, comments and critique welcome, still learning the keybinds again. AussieMerc.
  23. Removed content. Moving to LSPDFR section.
  24. Bravozero this isn't the place to be asking for such information, however a LOD is a Level of Detail resolution model that is created in zModeler by the person creating the car model. LOD's change at different distances to decrease the amount of resources used by the game at range (for instance interiors, doors, radios etc can be removed from LOD's where they are not ever seen). The issue with the lights not showing at a distance is due to the creator of your car models not creating enough LOD's for the game to render things, it's also the reason for some new modeler's cars being a blob of grey at a certain distance etc. Hope that explains it a little, but keep things on topic, that's not a question for this thread. Regards, Aussie.
