Can you override scanner audio calls?
Is there currently a way to intercept or override what scanner audio gets played? For example if a random callout tries to play the scanner audio of "CITIZENS_REPORT", is there a way to cancel this and play something else from an entirely different script?

Performance Issues
This has definitely had an effect on modding performance since the game originally came out, but switching back to previous LSPDFR versions still gains me a bit of FPS compared to more recent releases, other than single core performance which still gets hammered as soon as rage plugin hook is active and even more so when LSPDFR is active, it has been hard to pinpoint what exactly causes the drops.

When do you get the worst fps? Using the settings above with the latest version I run the game perfect until I am on a callout then my fps is all over the place.
-
Performance Issues
Yep definetly seems to be a bug causing this, your specs are a beast. Do you have a fresh install and never Installed over 0.3?
-
Performance Issues
Not yet, although they need to figure out what's causing the issue first.

Performance Issues
Yeah I was talking about bling but it applies to anyone, I'm cpu bottlenecked too and also get a similar drop in performance.

Don't know what you mean about your CPU mate, its only 2 years old and definitely more powerful than mines. GTA loves an Intel CPU with a high clock rate. Are you bottlenecked by your GPU or CPU with your current settings? With rage loaded and not LSPDFR I even run around the same FPS, although I tend to test in the city since its more CPU demanding.

Definitely isn't a fix anyway, but it should help the fps a bit for the people who really want to play.

They probably are already working on a patch. For now though to help even a little you can try turning down or off settings that affect the CPU, for GTA turn down render distance, population variety, density and disable all extended settings. For LSPDFR try running the following configs in the INI file: Networking.DisableServerCommunication = True Networking.DisableDiscordRichPresence = True Main.DisableAmbientScriptHooks = True AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0 WorldEvents.IntervalMultiplier = 0.0f Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock = false AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0 Afterward, try disabling debug logs being created to free up the IO overhead by typing "IsDeveloperModeEnabled true" then right clicking the V logo in your desktop tray and setting logging verbosity to none. Then make sure to type "IsDeveloperModeEnabled false" afterward. All of these combined makes me run much more stable on duty and slightly better when doing a pursuit.

What are your specs out of interest?

Performance Issues
I'm guessing people not affected by the performance issues have GPU bottlenecked systems and will, therefore, notice less of a hit. I overclocked both my CPU and RAM and have noticed a decent boost (nothing amazing), but, stuttering is more apparent.

LSPDFR 0.4 - Official Discussion Topic
Does anyone know how to fix the weird aiming mechanics? Like holding left click now aims the weapon instead of firing, until you left click again.
-
Performance Issues
I'm guessing you installed 0.4 over top of 0.3? Because my install no longer has the police scanner folder, I think they changed the location for 0.4 so if you just install over your last install it would have kept the files/folders with different names from the new install.

Cleaning cars give a massive boost, peds give a small boost and persistent entities do next to nothing.

Performance Issues
@Sam With logging off I didn't really notice any difference and looking down during massive lag spikes gained very little FPS. The only thing to get the fps back to near normal is to clean the world. If I was to take a guess at this stage at what is causing the lag it would be something to do with the AI or reading data from them, again I'm not fully sure what the biggest contender is.

Performance Issues
@Sam Yep, fresh install no other mods, no other plugins, and no callouts.
-
General Things
Yep, the addon above just setups all the EUP pre-made outfits to selectable in the police locker as far as I'm aware.
-
General Things
The lack of clothing options is deliberate as they are no longer using the police models but the multiplayer character models, this will allow easier character customization in the future, you can download a supported EUP right now to add more customization for police outfits.

Performance Issues
So I set up a test circuit downtown and proceeded to drive around it looking in the same directions as much as possible. FPS ranges include: unloaded 71 - 92, loaded 57 - 75, on duty 51 - 67, with all the settings applied (I think stuttering was maybe less) 55 - 65. Requesting and accepting a callout in the area proceeds to drop the fps down into the lowest being around 43 fps (however this is including a car chase with a 2 unit backup).

@Sam Here's another one where I spawned in, teleported to a station, went off then on duty, requested a call and then began a short pursuit. I didn't see much other than the goto task being spammed in the log, and a few not implemented exceptions. I also attached the log file in the base directory rather than just from the log folder. Will try to see if I can capture something. Also I just generally have worse fps when LSPDFR is active and I'm on duty, before going on duty it is usually ok.

@Sam Attached is the most recent one, after a clean install. I can play about more if you require any more. RagePluginHook_24022019_223117.log

Performance Issues
While LSPDFR is active my framerate takes a very hefty beating. I normally run stock GTA V at around 90 - 100 fps, however, while on duty/pursuit I average around 30 - 45 fps most of the time. For reference, my specs are a 4770k @ 4.1GHz, 16gb of ram and a GTX 1080. I also have a fresh install with no other mods installed and have tried: running rage plugin hook as admin, running fullscreen and windowed, lowering and increasing graphics settings and disabling as many background processes as possible.

LSPDFR 0.4 - Now Available
@Sam Are you guys planning to continue development for bug fixes and tweaks? There is such a big hit on performance right now it is unplayable for me and there are also quite a few crashes occurring on a semi-regular basis.
-
LSPDFR 0.4 - Now Available
Yeah, I'm having lots of issues too. Interacting with people on the street causes a crash, performance is awful (without running lspdfr I get around 90 fps minimum) with lspdfr I am at around 30 - 45 fps, interaction with suspects seems much more finicky than before and pursuits sometimes just stop randomly with the AI involved going on its own way.
