Try launching the game without your controller plugged in, then while in game plug your controller in. See if that works.

if you have a controller plugged in, unplug it and try it again. thats why my game was crashing

Yea I thought about it because for some reason on games like NASCAR '15 for example, when you try to save the game would crash because your controller was plugged in. Then I thought to myself "what if its my controller?" And thats how NASCAR saved me from reinstalling GTA V

Ok so, this is interesting. I uninstalled OpenIV, and it still crashed. BUT out of nowhere i got the idea to unplug my controller. oh my god it was my controller this entire time also whenever I go on duty and spawn in my patrol car everything freezes but i can still see notifications/pause menu etc

SP off of steam loads fine. After GTA V froze my entire PC of course lmao

Just uninstalled/reinstalled both LSPDFR and RAGE and yet, still no luck. Even after verifying again. Like I said, I would go to RAGE's actual forum to get help but they dont send email confirmations with this decade so I'm out of luck I guess.

Just validated game cache, and updated my mods folder but still doesn't work. :/

I have done both of those already, strangely enough I decided to start it and it magically works. Isnt this still in Alpha? IF thats the case ill just blame in on that lmao

Whenever I launch the Rage Plugin Hook exe the game launches into the whole "loading story mode with rage hook" screen, and after a few seconds it crashes. I know I should probably post this on the Rage Plugin's forum, but for some reason i cannot create an account there. Aswell as turning off all antivirus software.
