  1. Ok, so I downloaded ScriptVHook and ScriptHookVNet (or something like that...) and wrote my first script in C#. Basically I spawn two groups of peds with muskets who fight eachother and everyone else except the player. My main question is this: Where is the "Stack Overflow" of GTA Modding in C#? It seems like you can use multiple languages, and a lot of info I'm finding (like the names of pedestrian groups) seem to be outdated (though most still seem to work though). My Google skills are failing me here...the docs for scripthookdotnet is very barebones.
  2. Only thing is this is not compatible with LSPDFR
  3. T Thanks, but I'm not neccesarily looking to work with the LSPDFR API, just general modding...though I suppose this is a good entry point, and I would like my mods to work with LSPDFR. I also just noticed the modding discussion forum, if a mod could move this topic there that would be much appreciated.
  4. I have a few simple mods I'd like to create for my own personal use...but if they turn out good I'd love to upload them too. How does one get started poking around with the code? Do you simply copy a file from Open IV, open it up in an IDE and have at it? Is there a standard documentation on the variables and whatnot? i have about a year of programming experience. Mostly Ruby, some JavaScript and also some C.
  5. At least in the city...on certain highways peds seem to floor it, but at the same time seem perfectly complacent doing 25mph and even waiting patiently behind slow trucks... Worst was just now, when a suspect started a pursuit where he literally drove normally...stopped at all the lights, stop signs, and even my sirens. Yet he was in pursuit mode, and when I got out of the car they'd calmly drive away... Not to mention that even when a pursuit goes well, never have they ever gotten out of the car and started shooting. They always just run. I don't want them to shoot everytime, but having that as a possibility would really mix things up... Instead its just slow pursuit, they crash into something and hop out the car, tazer, done.
  6. I have Realistic Driving installed and I don't want to mess with that, I don't want a Ford Explorer or a charger or whatever, I just want to existing cop cars repainted.
  7. Same here, glad it's not just me! My game is perfect as it is, all the essentials and not a single crash in a week of play. Would really like to backup my current version before the next update. Please help! Error while creating game backup: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GameBackups.rph'. File name: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GameBackups.rph' at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access) at =KeCqQeOxGrp0CXjfdeyqEEJiE9=.=R25hRreaIAyNxH9ywRPin8UxxA=(String ) at =eH1jiv68ucGXGRIaAGraiq8y7N=.=eB0BitDiYwDRtMlzyMiEAqL4BK=(Action`1 ) at =lp1R1828KIlWx2LSgF0grXmqho=.=gYf3vmH02ZTsYrgxT902rLFpb=() I have had problems with file permissions with GTA V in the past (where I as an admin cannot delete GTA V files without admin permissions, even plugins I installed myself...). I see some "FileAccess" words in that error, so maybe that's involved somehow?
