Hello all - this is my first time posting so please forgive me if this thread needs to be moved/removed...
I am completely confused at the moment and beginning to panic. I have been playing LSPDFR for a couple weeks now and thoroughly enjoyed it along with a lot of great mods. Long story short, I really messed up my files (noob learning curves) and decided to reinstall everything again. I accidentally deleted my back up of the game (awesome job) and had to wait through several hours to reinstall GTAV.
Once GTA5 finished installing, I installed LSPDFR and Rage Plugin Hook as you normally would, and tried to run the game before adding any mods just to make sure all went well. Note - I had actually done this once before so I am pretty familiar with the installation of GTAV/LSPDFR/RPH, and I have the latest versions of LSPDFR and RPH.
When I ran RPH to make sure all was well, it took me to the first-time setup screen - everything to this point is normal. I checked the box to run LSPDFR plugin automatically upon start-up, as per usual. However, after the last part - "Save and Launch", Social Club loads up and wants to update GTAV. I closed out and stopped the update, and tried running RPH as Administrator to play the game, and it takes me right back to the automatic update via Steam. On top of that, while it starts the update via Steam, a RPH window pops up that says "GTAVLauncher.exe failed to start". Not sure if it I'm getting that "GTAVLauncher.exe failed to start" message simply because GTAV needs to update first?
Is my only option at this point is to update GTAV and then wait for a RPH update? Has anyone else's GTAV game prompted them to update GTAV last night or recently?! Should I update GTAV? I can't do anything with the game until it updates it seems. I have attached screenshots to this thread for further details, but I am at a complete loss at the moment and seeking HELP! Even just an explanation of what is going wrong would be of great value to me! Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: Also forgot to mention that I read a thread about changing a value in the commandline file that is found in GTA root directory, in order to prevent GTAV from updating at all. My commandline file is completely blank - no text or values to change? Ughhh....
