Yeah please educate me on policing "Mr I'm not even a real cop yet!" you can be in charge without shouting at people and sticking a gun in there face. Some people you use nothing but force but rarely, 1 in a 100 over here. It must be an American thing then, we were taught about being in control but maybe for a day out of the 80 days of training I did. You can use brains to more effect than mental muscle. But carry on thinking you know everything, I obviously didn't being in command of 60 police officers(sarcasm, you might not understand that)

In England, you wouldn't make it as a cop for purely that statement. With the saying of "being in charge" is your typical American attitude that the public look down on. You obviously lack the social skills to deal with situations without looking down on people.

I did some time in the UK police. Did undercover for a year. I now provide unarmed close protection for people(Middle Eastern Families normally but some Yank VIPs) who can afford me or armed protection for Oil and Gas companies in places like Nigeria/Algeria(shit places but money is good for obvious reasons). :-)

I've downloaded a trainer for this and when installed, it crashes the game every time, how do I uninstall it? I'm guessing replacing the file I changed back to the orginal?

THank you for the above, changed the settings and saved. Downloaded trainer. Slight problem, how do I stop it from working when in game? I push Alt+M in game to load up my ELS ino panel and it puts me on a motorbike... Whats the button that gives me the options? I looked through controls but nothing to actually activate/deactivate it during game play????

Just GTAIV on its own, latest patch. Where do I find the option to change the halogen settings? In game and do I need a trainer to do it or out of game? Also which is the best/latest up to date/bug free trainer to get?

Hi, I did ask in here when I first joined about setting up the game and you guys helped massively. I'm playing the game now, and even though it crashes every 30 to 50 minutes for whatever reason, normally in a chase, it doesn't bother me hugely as virtually everyone has the same issue. I've tweaked the game with mods and will be looking at Traffic flow etc but the part I'm trying to concentrate on now is the lighting and realism. I've been trying to find an illumination mod on this site and othes but to no avail. Can anyone please point me in the right direction of one? Also I downloaded a car and it says this in the Read me file: "This Vehicle is ELS-H with a Halogen Flash Pattern Enable Halogen Mode for the lights to Flash Correctly just replace Polpatriot.wft and polpatriot.wtd with SparkIV" I've done the SparkIV bit and the vehicle is working but how do I enable Halogen mode? Is that using the ELS?*I have ELS downloaded* I'm trying to get brighter lighting as the game is really lacking this at the moment? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I will say that the setup was a nightmare. I would suggest you or someone like "Sam" makes a YT tutorial(20-30 minutes doing EVERYTHING), and a mod pack straight away,updating it as it goes. Covering all angles, the more "dumb-proof" the tutorial you make it for people like complete newbies, the less hassle you will get in the long run. Thats the only way I got this done, was to get a tutorial and literally go through it step by step. Its a great mod and whoever had the first thought of this is on to a winner. Its like a mini version of discovering FB and its importance. Another thing I'd suggest when releasing the new MOD is the marketing behind it, I know you don't make money from it but if you make a MOD so good, people will buy cash for it, companies will buy it. I had never of heard about this if it wasn't for YT 3 days ago. Literally 4-5 days ago I searched google for fun cop games/mods and this did not appear in the first 5 pages. Amazing mod, the scope for this is huge. Best of luck.

I know you get a lot of newb questions, some very irritating which I'm sure, my thread is support did... But even though it took me basically 12 hours from start to fnish, the longest ever in my modding life.... It was worth it, the game is ace, alot of problems but for someone who is doing this for free, plus it is free, its mega fun. I'm trying to set this up on a LAN and get a few of us mucking for maximum awesomeness. Thanks for the help, even though I dont even know the full controls, the ELS with the cars and wicked graphics, its great fun! Keep up the good work, if all the bugs were sorted and cool ideas put in to practise, I'd pay for this!

*Doesnt work again* So I Installed LCPDFR, and it now works. I will search how to get the little side menu at the bottom right for lights and backup. I dont know how to do traffic stops etc and arrest so abit confused. I downloaded the latest version of ELS, did what it said on the read me file and now its crashed the game and I cant play it now. I've been doing add-ons for about 4-5 years now with Arma 2 and COD etc and never had these problems before and Arma series is mega unstable but this is worse ten fold. Thank you all for the help.

I'm re-installing the game when it finishes downloading. Then I will do the FR 0.9 version and see what happens.

Ok, sorry. Looks like I'm re-installing then! It worked before, it went grey after adding that C++ upgrade.

Still not working and I have no idea what to do now.
