I am a filmmaker who lives in Dayton OH. I'm working on a film where in a scene a character shoots the other. I have studied stunt/handling of firearms as well as participated in NRA weapons classes over the years. My location is on the boarder of downtown but is in the city limits. I have a weapons supervisor who has been trained using and handling firearms for 45+ years as my stunt coordinator. As long as we let everyone inside the building know as well as let the local PD know about whats going on as well as permission from the location itself. Should there really be a problem in shooting the scene?
The blank weapon cannot be converted to fire live ammunition. It is strictly a blank pistol. Which means it cannot fire a projectile. Wouldn't it be considered a replica firearm/starter pistol?
