  1. Awesome, thanks!
  2. To answer your question definitively, no. That won't run it unfortunately.
  3. As far as GTA IV goes with CRYENB, you should get 30-40 fps, maybe. I say maybe because people have such variating experiences on GTA IV, especially with visual mods and your speaking of one of the most demanding. It's really unstable. Expect crashes. As for GTA V, with a 960, at 1080p you should be able to get around 40 fps on ultra with that (though, turn down grass and use a particular AA setting). I have a 970 and run it easy, so the 960 should do similarly. (Note; Similarly. Not identically). You can always look it up on canyourunit and honestly, that's going to be just as helpful as asking strangers on the internet. I would recommend going on youtube and typing in gtx 960 GTA V benchmark and there you will have your answer on how it will run. Whether you have 8gb or 12 gb of RAM or you are running on a different HD or SD won't make a big difference, you'll see your performance with your own eyes if you look up a video.
  4. Thanks! Yeah, i hope some API devs like FinKone or others see and get some ideas!
  5. I feel like LSPDFR would go greatly with a bit of an organized callout plug-in. What I mean is, we have all of these different unit types to select from (BTW, what is the ASU? Anybody?), and the callouts are the same (as they always have been). I thought it would be cool for any developers now using the API to make callouts to just maybe get inspired to make unit-specific callouts, and if it's not possible for them to be toggled in-game somehow, then to just be able to drop the plugin into the game folder if you know you want to play that particular unit and receive those calls. Some ideas are things like; FIB - drive to a waypoint and meet with x client regarding some form of meeting, transport, or investigation (which could be a simulated conversation similar to the CalloutsV plugin that introduced new callouts with the dialogue where the radio would come in at, bottom left). You could select Y or N to choose if you'd like to do that callout. raids/federal warrants (meet up with fellow and local units on a block, roll forward a block on a group of armed/unarmed peds and search them all and check ID, looking for a previously listed name and/or description you were told). DOA - drug raids/warrants (similar to above, except mostly just different dialogue for roleplay). drug anonymous tips - go investigate vehicle or tagged spot to find out if there are drugged vehicles in city areas (could use the vehicle from the drug mission in singleplayer to be the target drug vehicle if so)IAA - honestly, i'm not sure on IAA. You could roleplay that they have some tactical force similar to their field agents counterpart in real life, and do more on the investigative side. (I feel like these would be some of the easiest because it is mostly dialogue/radio simulation that could be coded/typed out maybe?)LSHP - Speeders evaded speed trapcall for additional unit on a traffic stop (pull up behind them)suspicious cargoNOOSE - armed suspectsshots firedofficer downpinned suspecthostage situationstandoff And of course, just more regular callout ideas: LSPD - backup requestedadditional unit for traffic stopfelony traffic stopdomestic disturbance (show up, 2 peds, simulated dialogue, press Y to side with x, or N to side with y, other gets cited or arrested)welfare check (visit a home and a ped is in driveway/backyard/enterable building, etc. and tap a key to "speak" and verify ID to assure welfarePossible DUI/DWIsuspicious activity (ped is sneaking through backyards/looking at windows/etc. possible burglary) Everyone who has contributed to LSPDFR and plugins so far, tremendous job! It's far better then I could do in a billion years, i hope these suggestions might just inspire more plugins for callouts or give you additional ideas.
  6. Hey guys, I've been around for awhile but i still don't know anything in regards to making the mods, only how to thank those who make them for us over and over. Looking back to GTA IV, we had custom vehicles, ELS system for variation in lights, etc. I know that LSPDFR has already had a vast increase of production as compared to back then LCPDFR, but I am just curious, how long do you think it will be before we see custom police vehicles coming out/ a system similar to ELS (or if a system such as ELS will even come out?). I don't know what has to happen in order for modders to create these things (though i assume it is similar to how the API just came out allowing them to start making custom call-outs). I was just wondering you guys' opinions on how long/what needs to happen before we see that type of progress. Regards EDIT: I apologize, i was reading through the previous thread by LMS in regards to modding, i was just asking in a more clear sense of opinions on the topic as to how long it will take/what needs to happen. I didn't mean for this to be "another thread" if it came across that way.
  7. As far as the siren key and police computer key, I just went into GTA V keybindings in-game pause menu and set my horn key to the number 2, so it's located right above the acceleration for me. No other key interference after that. It takes getting used to, but just til another/better solution is found.
  8. To anybody having issues, I highly recommend to delete all of your mods/plugins (including LSPDFR), and then starting your GTA V how you originally would (not through RAGEHOOK) to assure it is up-to-date as your mods are, and then reinstall your plugins and LSPDFR. That's what I did, and it's working as perfect and smooth as .1 was. The police computer/siren conflict of keys though is annoying, and if anybody has a fix (we should be able to reconfig the computer key..?) i'd love to hear it!
  9. You nearly would always go to the university and visit and view things beforehand, such as some basic areas and locations as well as your dorm/housing area. The only exceptions that i've heard of from friends was going to a school in another country or enrolling in a type of community college. (And even then, i've heard of friends doing this on one, maybe two occasions out of all?) This is just from my experience though, and between what I and dozens of close friends i know did.
  10. I live in a relatively big area (4th largest in the US), so i see new vehicles kind of often. The specific suburb i live in is run by two offices, the Sheriffs Office (HCSO) and the Constables Office Pct. 4. The Constables are using crown vics and chargers like those, but i haven't seen the Sheriff use any chargers. They still use impalas and tahoes, but they did however start using these over the past year.
  11. Not sure of the name of lightbar (I can't ID them by name like many of you guys) but the average lightbar is this first car, but then i often see "ghost" and slicktop units alot. On one of my many ride-a-longs i found out that the ghost units, being those with the white/grey logo and lettering are owned by Homeland Security and function as my counties SWAT team.
  12. Can't wait til the final update tomorrow! Thanks devs!
  13. Awesome! Can't wait to be able to check ID's. I know it's already been suggested (numerous times) but that API (or whatever) for new callouts is also going to be amazing! Thanks you guys for the quick update.
  14. Well, a how to install would be nice and would've taken like 30 seconds to make.. This is one of the earliest siren mods for LSPDFR so you'd think they would be included. They sound great! But don't know where to put those files.
  15. As mentioned in the FAQ, and the user documentation, the callouts included in the initial release are 3 pursuit-based callouts. That is all there is in the mod at the moment. Annoying, maybe a little. But easily fixed by forcing another callout X, makes every blip from the previous call (dead, or not) disappear.
  16. GTX 970 i5 1 TB HD + 256 SSD (GTA V) Around 50-60fps fluid on near max (except grass). I can go ultra but can't notice enough graphical difference really.
  17. I drive an Acura, and it's likely my favorite car i've had. (Driven a ford pickup, infinity coupe, and now this). I vote go for a nice honda accord, what i almost got. Just depends on deals partially.
  18. I tried installing CryENB V3 again, and somehow got it to look decent, but now as soon as the game loads in, LCPDFR quits unexpectedly and logs an error, therefore i can't start. The lights, though bright, look washed out, the red is more of an orange and the blue is more of a white, very bloomy. I'm moreso looking for something with a deep red and deep blue, very glowy. I would even settle for something simple, though - like this: http://storage11.tunefiles.com/files/thumbs/2014/02/20/1392893170b11b7-original-1.jpg This would be a dream: https://gtamodsdb.s3.amazonaws.com/monthly_05_2013/2458a9ea9b1099f66c13ac7e9cbceb66-gtaiv-2013-05-20-13-06-28-62.png.3ea3955b0f4b406f9d108632b7b5489a.png
  19. I was under the impression that an updated Steam copy of EFLC is 1.0.7.0. So if not, then no - where would that be? And @Sonny236, yes - i've tried CryENB as well, same issues. Dull lights or crash when i walk out of safehouse.
  20. Hi guys, I recently bought a new PC to play LCPDFR as well as GTA:V. I have a clean install of EFLC on Steam, and installed LCPDFR, then ELS 8.5, then car mods (just 2, a basic CVPI + charger for ELS) and the lights were extremely dull, so i wanted to run a ENB. My PC runs GTA IV on all ultra/highest settings at over 60+ FPS with v-sync off, but after installing any ENB the game looks hardly different (still dull lights, even tried Game4Video but lights are dull) or completely crashes when i walk out of my safehouse. Can someone please give me an install order of mods? I don't need a crazy ENB to change the world graphics, just love glowy red and blue lights when i'm playing LCPDFR. My PC settings: - NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB- Intel Core i5 4690K CPU- 8GB RAM. If anyone can please help me, i would very much love to get back to playing like i used to on my old PC. These dull lights / crashes won't stop! I just would love to find some nice deep red and blue glowy light settings that work for EFLC. Everyone says get Game4Video, Savior, etc, but it either makes my game crash when i leave the safehouse or the lights are still dull. Also, just on a side note: When i quit GTA IV, it gives me an LCPDFR error + GTA IV has stopped responding, even though i quit the game, lol. Not a big deal since it's when i quit, but maybe worth mentioning. This PC is definitely strong enough to handle the game i know, but i just need to figure out a nice mod install setup and which graphics mod to get for EFLC specifically to make the lights look great.
  21. Hi everybody - I'm back after a long pc break, and i've got a new monster of a PC and am excited to get back to playing LCPDFR. It's been so long, i'm having issues and was wondering if anyone could help me out. From what i remember, i used Game4Video ENB with Radiance mod before with LCPDFR and loved the way the lights looked, but now i've been trying the same thing (as well as different ENB's, etc.) and keep ending up with the result of dull, ugly lights. They are almost grey, even. So now i've got a fresh copy installed once again, and was wondering if anybody could tell me their install order from a stock EFLC copy in order to achieve some beautiful annoyingly bright red&blue's? I know this was a common issue among new people and still is, and even though i'm not new - i feel like it! Seems every ENB or radiance/lighting mod i try, my emergency lights end up looking dull and pale just as before. Glad to be back. Sidenote: Aside from the main issue (mentioned above), i also noticed when i installed a trainer that on launch LCPDFR says it's encountered an error and won't let me start it. Anybody recommend a good, compatible simple trainer to change weather/time/etc as well? Thanks guys for the help to both issues!
  22. Not sure honestly! My current PC is one that has been pieced together bit by bit but is long due for an upgrade. I'm glad you think this will be a good build, I'm just about to order it!
