I have both of those, and I can't access the Diagnostics tool as a Winzip ad keeps popping up telling me I have to register. Anyway of getting around this? I'd be impressed if you can help me out><!

Been running it as admin, just tried again, still got "GTA 4 has stopped working" on startup><!

It installed fine, however now when I run GTA it says that it's stopped working. I was JUST playing on GTA before I downloaded this, now it's not working. What the hell is going on? I can't download the diagnostic tool because I keep getting a pop-up form Winzip to register. Please help, I can't even play GTA now. Also, everytime I try to uncheck read only, it's just checked again when I look back! I've been ignored so many times today, someone help me? I really wanted to play LCPDFR!

Hey, I can't download the diagnostic tool as every time I open it to install it Winzip pops up asking me to register. I didn't have xliveless, and that only caused GTA to load a bit but never pop up. I just reinstalled LCPDFR with d.sound but now it's just gone back to "GTA has stopped working" Please will someone help me? I'm so lost!

Nope I'm using a totally legitimate copy of GTA. It was weird, because when I had d.sound, it would just say "GTA has stopped working" once I deleted it, it would load, but nothing would happen. After reinstalling LCPDFR with xliveless the same "not working" thing happened, until I deleted xfile.dll. It's not so much LCPDFR that's the problem, it's just that now, I can't even start GTA, whereas I could before I downloaded LCPDFR. Anyway, it's 10.11am here in the UK, so I'll have that diagnostic up here by 11.00am at the latest. Thanks for the responses, as I know the help is voluntary :)

Right will do this ASAP as i'm on a different computer, how am I supposed to run a diagnostics log? Also, it's not the Mod that's not running, it's the GTA. I have xliveless, but the game doesn't load, nothing happens! But yeah, will get a diagnostics log asap.

Hey. I have searched the forum for something like this but I haven't seen it. I had some trouble starting GTA after downloading LCPDFR. I had GTA VI yesterday, and It run fine! After downloading LCPDFR, it would load shortly before saying that it had stopped working. I fixed this problem by deleting xfile.dll (or something like that) and that didn't happen anymore. However, the game then would load on start up, but nothing would actually come up on the screen. I don't know how to fix this? People are saying it's GfWL, should I reinstall this? Should I just reinstall GTA? I need some help guys please! This is so frustrating! Thanks for ANY help.

Thanks! I know it must be frustrating to be helping a newbie out! That makes sense now, if I need anymore help i'll come back! last Q, with downloading mods like idle animation, traffic flow, etc.. how do I activate these? do I need to move them to any files or anything? Also, what the hell is ELS? I know you need it to download some modded cars! Thanks everyone :)

Cheers mate this was really helpful concerning the uniforms! Can you make it a little clearer though? For example, I have no idea what "rebuild" means (in computer context) I have no idea to open peds in cdi images D; I'm a noob! D;

Okay this clears it up a little, but I want every car in my GTA to look identical to ONE of my modded cars, I hate the GTA cop cars, so how would I do this? Secondly, if I just download uniform mods, are they there ready to use? I don't get all the "put in the .....file" etc D; Thirdly, what exciting mods would you recommend? :)

Hey and thanks to anyone who answers! I'm a complete noob when it comes to PC's, but LCPDFR is too good to pass up, so I'm getting it for my gaming computer as I already have GTA! However, I never download mods and I'm a complete tool, so just some questions; 1) If I just download LCPDFR 0.95, with a modded car I have also downloaded from this website, will all other police vehicles in the game have the same car? Do I need an extra mod? 2)Above question, but with uniforms for officers. 3) Are there preset uniforms or do I have to download them? 4) Are there preset cars? 5) Do I need to download any additional mods for other police officers to carry out random events, ie, chases etc that I can encounter and join in? 6) Recommended mods?
