Chaco reacted toDeactivated Memberin LSPDFR Mod Showcase Episode 1"Content team? But where is all the content?" you ask.
Well here it is:
It has been a while, but today we are (again) introducing the first episode of the LSPDFR Official Mod Showcase. The Mod Showcase is an opportunity for members of the Content Team to showcase the latest and most popular mods on a regular basis. It also gives us a chance to highlight some mods that we believe deserve more attention. Within our first showcase we take a look at five different vehicle modifications inside and out and give them a little test.
What is it?
The Mod Showcase is exactly what it says, a showcase of mods on a regular basis. Within the showcase, we will take a journey through a few selected mods. For vehicles we will look at their lighting patterns, skins and textures . We may take them for a spin to test their handling and how they work at different speeds. For scripts, we may test out a new callout, whilst also showcasing a vehicle, and potentially even throw in a siren pack too!
This Mod Showcase is a reboot of an exciting idea that we want the community to get behind. We would like everyone’s feedback, so we can shape and mould it into the best it can be. Additionally, in the future we hope to create further content for everyone to enjoy and participate in.
Who is it?
This series will be created and presented by @Shockie and @Gan Ceann, taking turns to present the video. We have both been part of this community since early 2012, and have a huge passion for the site and the community. Our routes start way back with LCPDFR and Fort Carson Roleplay (if you know, you know), and we have kept in touch with the community ever since. Coincidentally, we also both have a passion for content creation and enjoy working together to make fun projects for everyone to enjoy. This project has already taught us a lot about video creation, and we look to expand on that, as well as our commentary and showcasing ability. It is our first video, so we would really appreciate any constructive feedback.
Why?
We are starting this series to show off what the community is creating and sharing. There are a lot of high-quality mods and we would like to act as a new channel to not only support the creators but also provide the community with an overview of what is out there. We also hope that with your feedback, we can look to explore future ideas and features.
Where can I see it? (Links at the bottom of the page)
The series will be uploaded to the official G17 YouTube channel (yes, there is one), and will also be viewable in a portal on the website, where there will be easy access to the mods presented in the video. The Mod Showcase page will have direct links to the mods shown within the video, and also the times they are showcased. Like the look of a mod? Click on the link, and it can be downloaded in seconds. Want to check out a specific mod? Look at the timestamp and you will be seeing our showcase in seconds. Mods that have been highlighted in one of our showcases will also have a link back to the video on their respective page.
All in all, we hope you enjoy the showcase and give us feedback so we can make this project the best it can be!

Chaco got a reaction from zGohanz in Opinions on Weapon Mounted Cameras (WMC)Back in February of 2020, footage of an officer involved shooting from the body worn camera (BWC) and weapon mounted camera(WMC) of Vernon Police Cpl. T.J. Session surfaced making the historical remark of the first ever weapon mounted camera shooting in the world.
As Vernon Police Cpl. T.J. Session attempted to make contact with a suspect he recognized as having a warrant, T.J. Session opened the driver side door to pull the suspect out, who then threw his vehicle in reverse and floored it while T.J Session hopped on (I'm assuming were) road runners of the vehicle. The suspect rammed the front end of Sessions police SUV with the rear end of his vehicle.
At that point Officer Session unholstered his duty issued weapon and hopped off the vehicle while the suspect presented a sawed-off shotgun firing at Session, striking him. Session had taken 41 shotgun pellets to his left arm and shoulder — where 36 pellets remain to this day. While at that point the WMC activated as soon as the weapon was removed from the holster and began recording. The WMC captured video evidence of the sawed-off shotgun the suspect presented which was not seen on body worn camera.
The WMC in question is FACT DUTY WEAPON-MOUNTED CAMERA manufactured by Viridan. The WMC offers 1080p HD video quality and audio with a 500 lumen tactical light or with a green laser addition.
Screenshots of the WMC are in the spoiler below. SCREENSHOTS GATHERED FROM Viridan - more information on the WMC can be found on their website.
What are your thoughts on a weapon mounted camera? Should more departments invest in this technology? Would YOU ever invest in this technology if you'd carry?
Let me know! I'm interested in seeing different view points.

Chaco reacted to Cyan in 2020: What we've been working on and updatesIn response to COVID-19, we're continuously monitoring the situation with the site and taking any action needed to keep the site fast for everyone.
In March 2020, we seen the largest number of people online in LCPDFR.com history, partially in response to the millions more working from home during these times and partially to the organic growth of people discovering LSPDFR and the absolutely game-changing GTA V mod scene.
We want to do everything we can to not disappoint people and we've been working on additional optimizations and monitoring so we can keep the website available and highly responsive.
A peak into our infrastructure monitoring dashboard.
During this time, along with higher site traffic, we've also seen a large increase in the number of reports of rule breaking content. Most of these violations are from these new members of the community who aren't aware of our rules. Our great Community Team is doing a fantastic job keeping on top of reports and making sure situations are dealt with in a timely manner. We thank everyone who points out violations of our rules, these help us make the community better for everyone.
To all of our community at this time, we hope yourselves and your families are safe and well. And let's hope everything goes to back to normal soon.
Cyan.

Chaco got a reaction from Zenitae in Hello, I'm Chaco!Hello!
My name is Conner. Better known as Chaco around the internet.
I'm from the state shaped like a mitten surrounded by the Great Lakes and known to have harsh winter seasons.
I'm currently a senior in high school and like most, are going to be having a delayed graduation due to COVID19. Or perhaps a Roblox graduation haha jk... unless 😳
I'm currently interested in computer science and the world of electronics.
My plan for the fall is to head to college and pursue a degree in computer science and go work for one of the big boys such as Google, Microsoft, or Apple. Or maybe even Discord.
My hopes for a job at one of those locations are not high as I tend to slack off a lot due to my lack of attention to everything around me, but hopefully I can get through that and pursue my dream job.
I currently program and maintain a private Discord moderation bot used by over 25,000 members in a single server. The bot is written in JavaScript off the discord.js library and ran off Node.js!
I'm a law enforcement enthusiast and tend to spend frequent amounts of time binge watching Real Police World or Police Activity on YouTube.
Ever since I was a little boy, I've been intrigued and fascinated with police officers. Admiring how they run into the danger zone while everyone else runs out, how they deal with all the situations & stress while on the job, how they deal with people who dislike police officers, how they deal with people wanting to take their lives for wanting to protect a community.
Police officers don't tend to get as much credit as they deserve, in my opinion. Next time you see a police officer, you should thank them for their service, it truly means a lot to them.
Oh, one more thing about me, I LOVE dogs. 99.9% of the time, my profile picture on this site will be of a doggo!
Unfortunately, I don't have a dog. Hoping to get one soon! So, send me doggo pictures!!!!
Anyways, my plan is to become more engaged within the LSPDFR community and hopefully become a regular. If you see me around the forums, feel free to say hello! I love chatting with people so if you want to spark up a conversation, I'm all for it.
Thanks for reading this lame introduction. Stay safe out there during this pandemic and remember to wash your hands!
Cheers
