  1. The performance hit Is it only when there are lots of entities around or is it constant throughout the game if you have this installed? When you clear a scene and leave a certain distance does the performance get better or is that stuff still in the memory? I'm wondering because my PCs not amazing but it runs GTA 5 smoothly now, don't want to ruin that though
  2. I just hope you guys would stop using words like "almost imminent" and "very very soon" if you're not planning on releasing within a day or two :P (no offense!) It really stirs up the community
  3. How do I block GTA V from auto updating? Something about firewalls I think but don't remember (I have the physical version not steam)
  4. Great mod Only one suggestion, make the text appear on the top RIGHT corner if possible, because LSPDFR traffic stop windows block some of the text if it's too long
  5. Ok so far I'm loving everything about this mod and the mods that supplement it. So thanks everyone (not just G17) for all your work! I have to say arresting is my favorite feature when it works (looking at you 12 mile foot pursuit), but what comes after arresting, well I've come to dread it a bit There's not many jails or drop off places, and they're always a long drive,so I usually spend more time transporting a prisoner than I do patrolling, and when I have to arrest someone I hate what I have to do after. So my suggestion is to add more drop off spots if possible, even if some may not have animation, either that or someone (FinKone wink wink lol) needs to add a prisoner transport feature, that'd be awesome! Thoughts?
  6. I wouldn't get my hopes up, very very soon most likely means next weekend
  7. Arresting right now is sort of a pain in the ass for two reasons 1. People run with their hands up, run very fast mind you leading to 10 mile foot pursuits 2. There's only 2-3 (I think?) police stations that you can turn prisoners in to, so it's usually a long drive Is it possible to add more jails to the game? either that or FinKone needs to work on prisoner transport for his radio lol
  8. This is amazing! Just one question Sam, will we be able to detain and get names from walking peds in the next version? Or is this all still applying to traffic stops? What I mean is like, if we see a guy in an alley can we approach him, get ID and run that through?
  9. I hope the foot pursuits have been tweaked/fixed, hate foot pursuits with a passion lol. Especially when they run with their hands up like what? Dude I dont have a youtube account so I can't comment on your videos, but holy shit you are amazing. The radio mod is brilliant. I love and appreciate your passion for coding and making all these amazing scripts/mods they add SO much to LSPDFR. I watch all your videos, keep it up.
  10. Oh no doubt man, I have faith in Sam and LMS, it's just secondary modders have been adding so much to the game too and it'd be nice to have some basic ped interactions before we get the juicy stuff from the men themselves
  11. Played for a good 5 hours last night and the mod is really really missing ped interactions, frisking, IDing, drugs, things like that So if any modders are reading this, please do that! (FinKone please, lol) The traffic side of things is almost as good as LCPDFR but the ped/foot side of things is severely lacking Also the arrest feature really needs to be fixed, I don't know if people are "resisting" or not but I hate when they run with their hands up, too fast can't catch up so I just end up shooting them most of the time.
  12. Read that whole post and still don't understand. :( Oh well guess I'll have to do with the default sounds
  13. Yeah the game does a small update after I do it before I can launch the game. Using the Physical CD Version, no steam just RStar
  14. I followed the instructions, still doesn't work
  15. Like the one in the link. I follow the instructions but nothing changes... What do I do with the folder?
  16. I made a new thread about features and animations to go along with them, feel free to contribute their about his subject!
  17. This seems to come up a lot when discussing features for LSPDFR, features like frisking, the police computer system, license/registration etc. Would you, as a user/consumer of the mod, be okay with having some of these features if it meant they wouldn't have proper animations right now but MAY later in the mod's life? For example, when you frisk someone you just stand there, there's a 3 second delay, and then a text box tells you what you find. I personally would be fine with it, because it would add a lot more RP to the game even if it would not have the animation I'm okay with that for now.
  18. Honestly man, I dont know if I'm the only one that thinks this, but I would be okay with having a frisking option/feature without the animation. Let us frisk someone for drugs/weapons having no animation for now is fine better than nothing. The problem right now is, there's no warrant system, there's no License/reg system, and you can't frisk, so there's almost no depth to the RP that we can conduct. Example, I can be patrolling the street and see 2 guys in a back alley, I decide to pull up and check on them to see what they're up to. In the current LSPDFR I literally can't do anything other than arrest them, but if there was a frisking option (without animation) I could frisk and go from there. I guess what I'm trying to say is, the game REALLY needs frisking right now, even if it means it would have no animation. It just adds too much to the game for it to not be there
  19. Obviously this is a solid foundation on which future content will be built on. What do you think of it so far? I personally love the amount of customization What would you like to see in the future? I can't wait for some sort of warrant/license and registration system, and also a much needed frisk option! Good work G17. Hope to see more additions in the coming weeks and months!
  20. Does anyone know how to make the police lights brighter or something? They're pretty dull in vanilla GTA 5... unless you make the weather foggy, so guess I'll have to always play in foggy weather lol
  21. Do you guys think it'll live up to the hype? For me, as long as it has functional traffic stops, warrant/computer system, and foot arrests (and the animations to go along with these things) then I'll be happy since I can RP the rest of it myself Spotlight, Light configs, etc etc. are all icing on the cake
  22. I think the best part about LSPDFR being in GTA 5 is the fact that the map is so big and varied. There's ghettos, urban districts, suburbs, rich sectors, industrial areas, beaches, redneck towns/villages, ACTUAL HIGHWAYS, forests, desert roads. Just soooooo much possibility for variety So many different types of patrols, can't friggin wait
  23. I've been playing other games to pass time, Fallout:NV, Witcher 3, occasionally I'll get on GTA 5 and play from the criminal point of view to get a taste of pursuits and stand offs, or just drive around the map souping up random cars (you can do it for free if you buy the LS customs as franklin)
  24. Guys.. less than 2 days now... LESS THAN 2 DAYS!!!
  25. I have some bad news and some good news... Bad news? We have to wait four more days to play LSPDFR Good news? We will get to play LSPDFR in FOUR DAYS !!!!! GET HYPED!
