  1. I see you have the same problem as I. The tool tells me that I don't have C++ installed either, but I actually do. You must be running 64-bit, right?
  2. I haven't tried. The laptop isn't good enough to run GTA IV. But atleast it picks up the Visual C++, so it should work. The bad thing is that in order to get it working, I have to install 32-bit on a PC with 4+ GB ram, so I won't be able to use it all... I know I can install two copies of Windows 7 on my PC, but that really sucks.. But if that's the only option I have, that's what I have to do.
  3. Alright. I recently downloaded the tool + installed C++ on my 32-bit laptop, and it picked it up right away. Stupid 64-bit...
  4. http://www.lcpdfr.com/cops/forum/index.php/files/file/11-version-091-automatic-install/ This one? Because it seems like it only installs the mod files. And it says that you will have to download the c++ and .NET yourself.
  5. I recently updated to the 1.0.7.0 patch now, but it didn't install the C++ 2010 package? Hmm..
  6. I know... I have already installed it. As I said, I've tried both the x86 and the x64 versions. The windows update was just a suggestion I recieved, in order to check if there was some important updates I didn't have. Jay: Does the version have anything to do with it? Are you thinking about the tool or the game version? I mean.. The tool is claiming that I DON'T have it installed. Does anyone know which directions the tool checks, and if the OS has anything to do with it? (In my case, that would be 64-bit)

  8. Alright.. I've updated all available updates in Windows Update, but no luck yet. Is really no one having any ideas?
  9. Hello there. While running the G17 IV Diagnostics tool, I discovered that it tells me that Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package is not installed. Why? And yes, I have it installed of couse. I've tried both the x86 and the x64 versions. Nothing works. The tool won't pick it up. Does anyone know which directions the tool is checking? I would really love getting the mod up running again.. I am running Windows 7 64-bit. Thanks in advance.
  10. That's what happens when you're too much active at the forum.
  11. The dsound.dll is at the top.
  12. Is that a legal copy of GTA IV?
  13. So you don't think the problem is that I'm running 64-bit? I remember that LCPD FR has always worked perfectly, but after it started to require the .NET/C++ packages, I just can't seem to get it running again. It's a shame though, since it's a pretty cool mod. We'll see. I'll restart my system just in case, and see what else I can do. :)
  14. Yes, I'll try that. And btw, I came over the G17 IV Diagnostics tool. It tells me that Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable is not installed. I'm pretty sure I installed the x64 version. I thought the x86 wouldn't work. I'll give it a shot. And yes, it would be nice to play some multiplayer with you. It's a long time since last, but still. Edit: Just installed the x86 version aswell, but the tool still says it's not installed.
  15. As I said in the first post, I always run my game as admin, but it still won't work. Anyways, I saw you had to run the INSTALLER as admin aswell. Is that right? In that case, I'll try that. I'm on it already. Thanks for showing interest in helping me btw. ;) Edit: Didn't work. May it have something to do with my operation system?
  16. Hello guys. It's been a long time since last time I played LCPD first response, and my friend is borrowing my steam account at the moment. A lot of new features, so I just HAVE to try it! :) So, I downloaded GTA IV. It went all smooth, starts up with the crack etc., BUT nothing happens when I press Alt + P. I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit. I installed the .NET 4, C++ x64 etc. I think I have all the necessarily files. (Since I ran the 0.91 installer). Anyway, I know piratism is illegal, but I thought it was okay since I've bought the game. Correct me if I'm wrong. And yes, I am running the game as administrator. I have to start the game with the LaunchGTAIV.exe file, since the GTAIV.exe only says "GTAIV.exe has stopped working" during startup. But, the GTAIV.exe file is the original file, and not the crack. (ONLY LaunchGTAIV.exe) So, what would be the case? I'm running 1.0.4.0 patch. Also, during patching: If I want the 1.0.4.0 patch, would I have to install the 1.0.3.0 patch first, or can I just right away to 1.0.4.0? Same with 1.0.7.0 etc.? Thanks!
