I have been trying the last few days to re-install LCPDFR, but always run into problems once I install ELS v8 or 7. I have tried re-installing GTA IV, I have used both the manual and automatic installer for LCPD, checked for the newest versions of dsound and Scripthook files, uninstalled ELS and re-installed multiple times, I run both the game and steam as administrator, and still I run into an error stating that LCPD has encountered a critical error and had to be shut down. I'm thinking it may be because I am unable to set my folder to read-only, but if I use an old backup of LCPD I don't get this problem. Please help, I'm completely out of options!
