  1. I want to thank C.O.N.Y. for the immense of amount of support he has given me. His help has been instrumental in me being able to enjoy LCPDFR. Moreover, I'm excited to learn more from him with regard to further enhacing my experience with the game. I've asked on multiple occasions whether I could compensate him in any way, any he has always turned me down. I'm extremely grateful that he has taken his personal time (several hours) to help me out. He certainly had no obligation to do so. Thanks again to this wonderful forum and C.O.N.Y., I feel very fortunate to have made this connection. C.O. N.Y. has dedicated a ton of time to helping me not only run the game, but make a bunch of mods. Without his help, I would've deleted this game right after I got it. He has been very patient, as I've struggled with a host of gameplay issues. I HIGHLY recommend contacting him if you're stuck and need some help! I feel fortunate that I connected with him when I did. It's made this game as fun as I hoped it would. Thanks C.O. N.Y.!!!!! Merged topics. Again - Staff
  2. Followed the top list to the "T". As far as the bottom list goes: GTA 4 purchased on Saturday from Steam and installed without issue LCPDFR auto version installed on Saturday as well. Following a myriad of problems running and much time perusing this forum, I uninstalled LCPDFR and subsequently reinstalled using the suggested manual method. Game would run but freeze without association with any particular action. As suggested here, I messed around with increasing/decreasing the in-game graphics settings...to no avail. I dumped the game again, and reinstalled it; to be absolutely certain nothing was missed. Yet, same result. Game crashes after 5-10 mins. Even when launched as admin. I have not downloaded any other mods or scripts. Again, I'm not certain where to find the log files. I welcome help from any of the experts here!
  3. Indeed, it is a laptop. I installed it using the manual process, and it would run for short bursts. Usually, it would simply freeze or an error message in the upper left of the screen would indicate that an error had ocurred and closing the program was recommended. I then deleted LCPSFR and followed the detailed manual installtions instructions again...making certain to launch in Admin mode. Same result. Maybe 5-10 mins in to gameplay it freezes. I REALLY appreciate the offer. PM sent.
  4. I've read the support guidelines and followed as closely as I'm able. Ironically, there are a couple of links here for support that indicate I don't have permission to view them. Anyway, I don't know how to find or post the log files. I've had the game running with GTA 4, but not with freezes, error messages, and a great deal of frustration. After 8 hours screwing around with this, I'm either going to chuck the idea of trying to run LCPDFR or find some kind soul here that is willing to make a few bucks helping me get up and running. Frankly, I have a lot more money than time. Admittedly, I'm not an IT tech, or in my early 30's (46). But I'm also not completely technology challenged. PC is brand new and has nothing other than this and GTA 4 from Steam (downloaded yesterday). Win 8.1 64 bit Intel Core i7-4500U 4th Gen “Haswell” Dual-Core 1.8-3GHz 4MB Cache Intel HD 4400, Nvidia GeForce GT 745M 2GB 8GB RAM 1000GB HDD (1TB) Also running an XBOX controller which seems to work perfectly. If someone is willing to help, I'm willing to pay. Thanks in advance!!
