First of all, I wanted to post this on the RagePluginHook forum, but the security image isn't showing up so I can't register. As there's no way to contact admins without registering, I can't do anything on their forum...
Yesterday I wanted to play LSPDFR for the first time in a few days, and when I started RagePluginHook I got the message there was a new version (0.36.something), and I had to download that. After that the game still booted, but it crashed when I actually loaded LSPDFR. The same happened after I updated to the new RPH version, so it had to be some of the LSPDFR plugins. I removed all of them, and reinstalled them one by one to see which was the faulty plugin.
Now the strange thing started happening. Ever since I installed RPH, when I boot it up, I get some kind of log window on my second monitor. When I click on the game screen, it minimizes GTA and the log window disappears. If I maximize GTA again there's no problem. But since installing the newest RPH version, and removing the plugins from the "plugins/lspdfr" folder, RPH would crash when I click on the GTA screen to get rid of the log window. It'll run fine as long as I don't click anything, but as soon as I click on the GTA window, GTA minimizes, the log window disappears (as usual), and then I get two messages saying RPH.exe has stopped working. The first few times it happened RPH would still run and I could launch LSPDFR etc, but now all of a sudden that has stopped working as well. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Things I've tried so far:
- Disable anti-virus, run RPH.exe as admin
- Make sure all the necessary stuff was installed (.NET Framework, C++ redistributable etc)
- Ran the troubleshooter by Albo, which only fixed some plugins being in the wrong location
- Remove the mods folder
- Remove all plugins (including LSPDFR)
- Revert to RPH 0.35.xxx (previous RPH version)
None of which worked. I don't really fancy reinstalling everything, 'cause I just did that last week.
Like I said, I would ask this on the RPH forum, but I can't register there...
