Hi, I have tried just about everything under the sun in an attempt to fix this issue. My copy of GTA IV is through Steam. I have updated all of the necessary microsoft software (C++, etc.) as well as Games from Windows Live in addition to updating my GTA IV copy to patch 1.0.0.7 (I also disabled V Sync because I saw somewhere that there was a bug with the game with regards to having that turned on, did not fix the issue). I have set my game to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode, with no success there. I have also checked my dedicated video memory and gone into the game properties through the steam console, clicked on launch options and typed into the console that popped up "-availablevidem 30.0." (my dedicated video memory is 32 MB). For a time I was typing "-availablevidem 30.0" without the decimal at the end, still no success either way. I had LCPDFR and IVdashcam installed, the game did not work, I uninstalled them and the game still did not work. I verified the integrity of the game cache and whatnot, but still, I can find no answers. I have left the game to it's own devices on the loading screen where it looped through the various pictures for near an hour (the sound cuts out after about three minutes).
For clarification purposes, I am stating that there is in infinite loop on the loading screen AFTER you click play at the main menu.
Does anyone know what on earth I might be able to do about this? Here are my specs below:
6 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM
Intel Core i5-4200U 3rd Gen. CPU @1.6 Ghz
Intel HD Graphics 4400
-Total Available Graphics Memory: 1792 MB
-Dedicated Video Memory: 32 MB
-System Video Memory: 0 MB
-Shared System Memory: 1760 MB
All of my drivers are up to date, as well as the associated software. I understand that I have integrated graphics, but from what I hear others can play this game on this specific GPU and I have been able to play such games as Shogun 2 Total War without any lag or excessive load times whatsoever. If anyone can help me, please let me know.
Also there are no relevant logs to post here.
