  1. I have tried several thing again, and the mod still doesn't work. Could I please get some help? I would really like to get started on this mod ;) Could it be something with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) - it says that Windows have prevented data execution or something.
  2. Thanks for your reply ;) It doesn't launch at all, there is just a box saying that it has stopped working, even when I click "play offline". So just after I click play at the social club window, I just get the dialouge box saying that the game has stopped working. I have not any other mods installed. I think I have Games for Windows Live installed, because it used to sign me in when I played GT4 (before I tried LCPDFR). I am running Windows Vista 32-bit (I know it is shit), and I don't know if that is a part of the issue - when I downloaded LCPDFR it said that Windows XP wasn't supported, but not anything about Vista. I hope that answers your questions, otherwise just ask again. It would be really nice to try out this mod ;)
  3. Thanks for your reply. I did what you described, but when I pressed play at the Social Club popup-window, it just said "Grand Theft Auto IV has stopped working" like before ;) I have been reading other threads, and there are this checklist, which I have done as well: Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks It isn't - I have bought the game on Steam Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues My game is updated, at least it is saying that Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. I do. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" I have edited it so every folder (and subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder They are. Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. There is. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Currently I am using the manual installation -it din't work with the automatic. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. I think I am. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 Done. It do still not work :(
  4. Hi! I have GTA IV on Steam, and when I tried to install LCPDFR 1.0c I got this message: "Failed to find valid installation. Please use the browse option to locate your game installation" I have installed it at this folder: C:Program FilesSteamsteamappscommonGrand Theft Auto IVGTAIV I did not download the recommended ad-program (I don't know if that is required). I tried to launch the game as well, but it just said "GTA IV has stopped working". The diagnostics tool said that is was set up probably, which is a bit strange. Then I tried the manual install, and it looked like it worked, but when I launched the game, it said "GTA IV has stopped working" right away again. Again the diagnostics tool said it was set up probably - the diagnostics log and some other log (the only one I could find) is in attached files. What do I have to do to install and play LCPDFR 1.0c - it looks great, and I really want to get started ;) - Chrras
