  1. No dice sadly. Still giving me .net 4 framework not installed, and as such cna't install rC2 (Still getting Compoent store corrupted when trying to install that .net file). On another note, I tried to fire up the old .91 version and that doesn't work either. It keeps getting to "Loading -- Story complete" loading screen before it crashes to desktop and one time out of ten it'll load the first frame of me in a safe house before it burns. That's with Xlive. With Dsound it doesn't make it past the main menu.
  2. Hm... For reasons I can't fathom, that one won't install. It throws up a compoent store corrupted error.
  3. Morning gents. LCPDFR seems to be a continuning source of frustration for me. This time it's the installer for 95.RC2. I've got the correct .net 4 framework on board, and the checker is still throwing up 'Not installed' flags and preventing me from continuing. It's actually rather frustrating, really because I'm completely stumped. I've tried installing, re installing, etc all with no effect. I'm running Win7 Pro at 64 bits. Any suggestions, oh internet helpers? ~~Thanks ~~SD
  4. It worked just fine before installing of LCPDFR, but I''ll try wiping them and see what happens... I dunno why it's reporting that. Bug in the dianostics tool maybe?
  5. Heya, thanks for the reply. Following your suggestion I updated to 1.0.7.0 and switched to Dsound only. It looked good for a bit, The game actually boots now, runs through all the loading just peachy. Then when it comes to the "loading - Bull in a chinashop' bit, it loads for a bit then just hangs my GTX 295 and crashes and burns. And I have no idea why LCPDFR could cause a card crash when it worked fine beforehand. Any Advice?
  6. Heya, first post. Alright, so after exhaustive readings of the site and support topics, endless frustration, screaming and swearing, I've come to the conclusion that this is completely **REDACTED**. No matter what I do, First Response either refuses to operate (Using Xliveless) Or GTA IV crashes on boot (With Dsound). I have no idea what's going on. I've tried a full reinstall, I've tried both Dsound and Xliveless, I've tried them together, I've tried every damned combination in order to try and get it to work. Nothing. I only bought GTA IV *FOR* LCPDFR, so if I can't get it to work, I'm just wasting my time and I'll return it. I'm desperate here. Any help you can provide would be greatly appriacted.
