At the end of my nerves, does ELS even work on 64 bits??
I've been having a whole host of issues on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with ELS v7 as well. First it would crash with other mods installed, so I stripped my game of every mod apart from LCPDFR. Still wasn't working, so I switched from xliveless to dsound. Now it's working, but some of the keybindings are not responding (like the one to show the ELS menu). My .NET Framework is completely up-to-date (version 4.5), as is my Visual C++ (2012), and all other mods were working fine prior to version 7. ELS v6 worked perfectly too.

ELS v7 Not responding to commands
I've been getting crashing on startup as well. Tried removing every mod I had apart from LCPDFR, but it continues to crash. I'm on xliveless however, so I wonder if it's just down to the ASI loader. I don't like GFWL so I'd rather not get rid of xliveless, but I might try dsound for the sake of experimentation at the very least.

ELS V7 - Setup guide
Crashes on startup for me as well. I'm only running one ASI loader, xliveless. Any ideas? The only evidence of something going wrong I could find is this: [INFO] [AdvScriptThread] Thread started [WARN] [AdvScriptThread] Thread instance is being deleted while still hooked [INFO] [AdvScriptThread] Thread killed [WARN] [SimpleTrainer] Thread instance is being deleted while still hooked [INFO] [SimpleTrainer] Thread killed [WARN] [EmergencyLightingSystem] Thread instance is being deleted while still hooked [INFO] [EmergencyLightingSystem] Thread killed [INFO] Script Hook - Shutdown Taken from the ScriptHook.log Edit: Well, that's odd. For no logical reason at all, it worked on my 2nd try. I didn't change anything at all. Weird. Edit 2: However, it crashed when I hit Ctrl + M to toggle the information panel. Edit 3: And then it crashed again on startup after my info panel crash. Any hope this can be sorted out? It looks really great, would hate to be stuck on V6.

Maxing out GTA IV Patch 7 without texture pop-in - is it possible?
Well I would have assumed that I'd be fine as well, since my specs seem to deal just fine with most other games, but I'm getting a heck of a lot of pop-in. Maybe a better GPU would help then? Your 680 is a pretty big step up from my 560 Ti.

Maxing out GTA IV Patch 7 without texture pop-in - is it possible?
As the title says, is it possible? I've heard plenty of people max out Patch 7 with acceptable FPS, but what I'm worried about the ridiculous texture pop-in. I'm running the following specs currently: Intel i7 2600K @ 3.4GHz (3.8 Turbo Boost) 8GB RAM eVGA GTX 560 Ti 1GB Everything but Shadows is maxed out (those are on High, as opposed to Very High), and though I don't have any exact figures the FPS is acceptable to my eye, but I get some pretty noticeable texture pop-in. I have tried experimenting with command line settings a long time ago to fix it, but I never managed to get rid of the pop-in (though I do recall increasing my FPS and getting the game to let me choose Very High shadows, but the pop-in remained). My birthday is coming up soon, so I wouldn't mind snagging some new hardware if that's what it takes. I've been thinking of experimenting with overclocking as well, or maybe installing IV on my SSD. If it weren't for LCPDFR I'd just downgrade to Patch 4, but I still want to be able to play the latest version of the mod - it's awesome, after all!

What is The Best ENB/ELS!
I personally ended up using ChinaGreenElvisENB 2.02 with some custom settings after going through several ENBs. I'm quite happy with it, although it has a black line along the horizon at water because of the red sky bug fix, and I am still fine-tuning the settings. You can make pretty much any ENB work with ELS if you tweak the VisualSettings file though. I just copy and paste the "other emissive lights" section from the Radiance Mod VisualSettings into the ENB VisualSettings, but you can play around with the values there yourself. I believe the important value is "car.defaultlight.emissive.on", which many ENB mods set to something very low.

Sgt.Kanyo's handling mods
The G8 GXP handling is excellent, thanks a bunch!

Great, can't wait to see it. Thanks!

Sgt.Kanyo's handling mods
Any chance you could do one for the Pontiac G8 GXP, as seen here? The car is much slower than it should be, in part because the gear ratios force a gear shift right before 60 mph.

Random pursuits
I believe I remember seeing a few random car chases in RC1, but I have yet to see one in RC2.

FirstResponseENB Release Candidate I
What graphics card do you have wmai20? I'd like to get an idea of what kind of specs are required for this. I have a 1GB 560 Ti myself, which just barely runs IV maxxed out with some light graphics mods. I think it would work much better if I had more VRAM though, and I'm considering upgrading to a 2.5GB GTX 570.

Parking Tickets
Yes, but you'd need to figure out a way to put the car on top of the truck and make it stay there (Rather than roll off as soon as the truck starts moving). No idea if that's possible. However, if you ask me, the best choice would be to simply fade the screen out and make the car disappear. Less works for the devs and no chance of the tow truck messing up traffic on its way there.

Your mods for .95
ELS V5 Non-ELS Ford Crown Victoria LCPD by Lt.Caine to replace Police Non-ELS Dodge Charger LCPD (Along with a State Police skin as one of the liveries) by Lt.Caine to replace Police2 Chevrolet Tahoe ELS LCPD (With State Police skin again) by Lt.Caine to replace PolPatriot Ford Crown Victoria LASD/LCSD ELS by BxBugs123 to replace Noose Ford Crown Victoria LAPD/LCPD Unmarked by BxBugs123 to replace Fbi Ambulance Yankee ELS with LC Department of Corrections and LCPD skins by Lt.Caine to replace PStockade and NStockade respectively ASP Baton by BxBugs123 to replace the baseball bat Traffic Flow V5R2 combined with Traffic Control System to get rid of the taxi bug (For some reason neither of them work alone, but together they work perfectly) Latest version of Simple Native Trainer With ELS v5 this particular setup has been running with a single crash so far. I tried it with v6 but unfortunately it was still unstable, despite the fact that I replaced Police and Police2 with non-ELS vehicles. If you want any of the links in particular then feel free to ask (I can't be bothered to go searching for every single link right now), but it should all be fairly simple to find, with most of the mods coming from GTA Police Mods. All skins I mentioned were included with the cars.

What is the countdown for?
- Game crashes when loading (LCPDFR 0.91)
Well I've deleted the corrupt savegame and now it works. Thanks for helping.- Game crashes when loading (LCPDFR 0.91)
Now that I think of it, the game may have auto-saved while I was on-duty and doing the "Most Wanted" list. Could this have corrupted the savegame?- Game crashes when loading (LCPDFR 0.91)
After I patched LCPDFR from 0.90F H2 to 0.91, the game has begun to crash when loading the save file. I'm certain that this has nothing to do with the save file itself, since it worked before 0.91. Here is the log from the diagnostics tool: The mod is excellent, and I hope someone can help me sort this issue out soon so that I can play again. - Game crashes when loading (LCPDFR 0.91)
