You don't see the double standard, I see it, you're probably looking at other news stories, I see it all the time, feamale teachers getting a slap on the wrist, you always get the age of consent arguments, but correct me if I'm wrong but I think the age of consent in the the UK is 16 years old, but the adult can still be arrested if done in a professional environment.

Well I know that, what gets me about these situations is the double standard people have for this, If it's a male student he's considered a 'lucky boy' but if it's a feamale student you get the 'send him to the chair' or 'how awful of him, he should be thrown in jail'. I swear I hate double standards.

I think the guys are great especially cp702 :D. But there have been a couple a times where I was caught doing something wrong one time I actually got a warning, no warning points or anything, just a simple reminder of the rules, it was a one time incident and I swore I never do it again. But again the moderates here are good and remember it's just a website, you really think getting in trouble one or two times is going to effect your life? No.

Anyone here takes the STARR test, at my school it is required for algerbra 1, biology, English 1 and 2 and U.S history.

Ah I see what you mean, I think it's important that everyone develops a good skill in at least one core subject.

Okay I just searched up what common core means: The Common Core is a set of high-quality academic standards in mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA). These learning goals outline what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade. The standards were created to ensure that all students graduate from high school with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career, and life, regardless of where they live. Forty-three states, the District of Columbia, four territories, and the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) have voluntarily adopted and are moving forward with the Common Core. So I'm not all sure on this standard, from what I see they're basically throwing science and social studies out the window as if they're not important.

There has been much debate about wether standardized testing should be kept as a way of testing throughout the entire nation. Yeah, I'm just going to say thanks or hold the door open if I see a veteran, to be honest I really don't pay much attention to days like this,I respect the military, but I don't really pay attention to this day. Oh and hey, I don't like that picture, where is the coast guard, they don't deserve the recognition that other branches get?
