I agree with Original Light, Your processor is should be able to run it on low. I suggest maybe getting at least 4gb of ram, you might be able to get away with 2gb. I don't really know since all my systems have had at least 4gb's. Jet, do you know the type of graphics it has? just wondering..will you be using the motherboards built in graphics or a dedicated card.

Jet, as stated before, the Acer Aspire One laptop just doesn't pack the punch it needs to run GTA:IV, which is processor intensive since it was never optimized by Rockstar. When you get the tower specs from your friend, let us know what they are and we can further guide you. If you're going to be buying a pc for gaming, my recommendation is that you check with us to see if the desktop's/laptop's specs are good enough to run the game before you actually go out and spend your hard earned money. At least thats what I did.

Where would you like a new GTA be located?
Call me crazy but I would love to see GTA's map based off of Italy. With real Italian mafia's lol.

Im sorry to be the one to break this to you but...I highly doubt you will ever get gtaiv to play on that laptop. simply because it does not have good specs. for example. the atom processor that it has is kinda slow. Correct me if I'm wrong but the graphics is based on either the ram or the processor. can't remember. I just know it is not a good laptop to run the game on and probably does not even meet the minimum requirements. If you do ever get the graphics to show up, the game will probably be unbearably slow because of the processor. Jorge

I try everything and it still does not work
Have you tried Right-Clicking on the EFLC folder and unticking Read-Only and hitting apply or ok? This will make sure that you can add, delete and overwrite files in the game folder. OR, have you made sure that you are running the diagnosis as administrator?

Multiplayer Group re-modeled and is back up!!!
Thanks for the heads up. However, Did you know that you double posted this?

Welcome to LCPD:FR. Please take a look at the post link below for a fix on the issue you are having with the model error. Also, next time, please use the search bar located on the top-right of every page, as most errors have been covered throughout the forum. :) I hope that post fixes your problem.

Hi Solo. You shouldn't have to change the default on/off key for the spotlight to work. This is the first time someone has reported this bug, so I don't know much about it[yet]. I recommend that you look over the value that on/off is set to in the ini file as sometimes people can make a human error and type in a string character instead of a number. As far as the light object being too large, might be a problem with a value inside VisualSettings.txt in your common/data folder. Any chance that you are using ENB? I don't know much about the values in VisualSettings but I'm pretty sure someone here might be able to help you. I believe it has something to do with the light bloom, but i'm not entirely sure[yet]

Not a prob. :)

What keys/integer number are you setting in the ini file?
-
Spotlight[Support]
You should be able to change the keys in the ini.
-
Spotlight[Support]
Can you post on here what your ini file looks like?
-
Spotlight[Support]
1. You either did not place the spotlight.img inside the cdimages folder 2. images.txt was not changed correctly. 3. You accidentally wrote a letter or char in either the keys section or on one of the position variables instead of just numbers in the ini file. Let me know if it gives you some kind of by hitting ~

Make sure that the name of the car is Police not Police1. I know some people have been having problems with the spotlight because they have renamed their cars. If that's the case re-name the cars back to their original name.

Yes I did. It was just a misspelling of the cars name in the script. It's good to go now.

You're 100% correct. I did. I submitted the update with noose and nstockade support. Just pending mod approval.
