  1. Welp, it SAID it was the right version, I pulled it off the download page, but upon closer inspection, it was only 33 MB, and then I saw the version on here that was 35 MB, and it is the right version that works. IDK if there is a mislabeled version on the DL page or what happened, but it works as intended now. Thanks!
  2. OK, weirdest thing ever. I like to think of myself as an advanced modder, but this one has me stumped. Every since last update, my LSPDFR seems to be permanently rolled back to 0.1b. I deleted all of RageHook and any possible old versions of LSPDFR, and redownloaded ragehook 0.20.641.4077 as well as LSPDFR 0.2a - ragehook has some new graphic looking stuff, so most recent version of ragehook loads fine, and LSPDFR loads fine, but when I load the LSPDFR plugin, it says 0.1b in the log. Then, I notice my computer / radio are gone, like in 0.1 - I have no tazer, like in 0.1, there are no radio sounds...like in 0.1. I WTF!?!? Why is 0.1b somehow stuck? I once tasted the joy that was 0.2...and now with 0.2a it's like I've been drug back to 0.1!! Can anybody help me?
  3. I would gladly pay Sam and his team, or pay Rockstar to pay them, for a high quality, fully funded LSPDFR. Just think, you could have a whole single player campaign and free-roam mode, real animations and complex missions, and a fully supported multiplayer mode. That's worth 60 bux a copy to me anyway. In the modding world, yes, we do many additions and changes on the fly (I mod many games as well) - But in the Indy game dev world, and indeed in the game dev world proper, we develop according to something called a GDD (Game Design Document) - No changes happen that are outside of the GDD anyway, without a huge board meeting and approval from the financiers of the game to change the GDD. This is an unavoidable part of pro game development. So as long as Sam and G17 write the original GDD, and are accurately represented on the board, I would forsee very little to no resistance on Sam and the G17 team so far as creativity would go, especially if we, the community, stand behind him. What can I say...I'm a dreamer LoL. I'm heavy into the Arma 3 modding scene, and BIS hires from the community and pulls moves like that all day (I mean just look at Day Z). OF course, BIS is way smaller than R*, but you'd think the model would work anywhere...
  4. LSPDFR was literally the only reason why I purchased GTA V on PC. Instead of fighting against G-17, perhaps rockstar should contract G-17 for an expansion pack? Why all the ignorance? And what about this: “I’m having soo much fun with GTAV on the PC but I just have one question about it, how come you are not allowing mods for it?” - @ClarkMatthew63 “Will I get banned from GTA Online for using a FoV Mod or Oculus Rift mod?” - @Mattophobia We have always appreciated the creative efforts of the PC modding community and we still fondly remember the awesome zombie invasion mod and original GTA map mod for GTAIV PC among many other classics. To be clear, the modding policy in our license has not changed and is the same as for GTAIV. Recent updates to GTAV PC had an unintended effect of making unplayable certain single player modifications. This was not intentional, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods. Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways. Source: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52429/asked-answered-the-rockstar-editor-gta-online-updates Rockstar is snake as fuck if they are legitimately preventing this mod from working via countermeasures. We speak with our dollars, and sometimes even petitions. We can whine, or we can do something..
  5. Hello all!! I am pleased to present my new LCPD Skins for Lt. Caine's ELS Modified Defaults Pack 2 (ELS) R01! This is my first mod for GTA IV, but I'm a long time modder of other games. While Lt. Caine's ELS Modded Defaults are AWESOME and virtually flawless, I got tired of the old Liberty Police skins after a while. I looked around and noticed there are not too many skins for this Mod set. So my answer is this, some nice LCPD skins, plenty of variations, and about 3 days worth of work in them! There are 14 skins overall, 4 for the VPINT, 4 for the PNCL, 4 for the VPRGR and 2 for the VPCSR, each skin is unique! Plenty to look at! This pack includes Traffic Enforcement, Patrol, Gang Enforcement Unit, SWAT, Campus Police, Narcotics Division skins and more! White, Blue / White and Black / White paint configs. Since I'm the coolest, this .ZIP file includes: .PNG files for each skin, so you can load them individually .PSD files for each skin, so you can load them into Photoshop and have your way with them. Just don't re-release my work like it's your own. Change it enough where you cant tell or something :-) .WTD files for those who just want to replace, and play with the new skins! There is no readme in this pack. I haven't gotten around to writing the whole thing, and I didn't want to just steal one. Install the skins the standard way (Using OpenIV or whatever you use) either replace the whole .WTD or open the .WTD and replace each individual Police_sign_1 image with the .PNG image you want to use. There are a ton of tutorials on this site and all over the internet. It works the same way. Hope you enjoy! Csalazar AKA [TMN] Fr33d0m P.S. - A) Lt. Caine's Readme provided with this pack gives express permission to modify the models without acquiring permission. I did check first! B) You will need Lt. Caine's Modified Default Vehicles Pack 2 (ELS) R01, these skins are made for this pack. You can find it on this site. C) Since you have the .PSD, ignore the above statement (B) if you know how to use photoshop. You will find the .PSD extremely descriptive and easy to use. Move things around. Put them on anything. Anywhere. Have fun!
