  1. Are you sure you have the audio on? Lol check your settings for your computer and for gta.
  2. Disregard previous post. I found the culprit. The map mods are the ones interfering with campaign. I removed em and 4 hrs of non crash gameplay. BUT, now the scripts start "crashing"... Dunno why. It's a simple fix, I just reload a save. Thanks for your time.
  3. Did not work. I'm beginning to think lcpdfr is the culprit here. No joke. So what happens is that whenever I enter a mission given by anyone (roman, vlad, etc) I crash. No error message no nothing. Yes, I am running patch 1.0.7.0. Yes, I am running game as admin.
  4. I'm not sure if I understand, so I can use the ambulance and tow service but I just have to disable world events? If it's possible that is...
  5. Let's take a blind guess, i'll begin removing them one by one and see... I'm SURE it's not lcpdfr, braveheart, or vdh police helper because many people use them without trouble. Which one do you think it is? I removed farnsworth business mod and the freezing randomly stops, but whenever I finish "the cousins bellic" and move on to "it's your call" the game freezes when the mission begins...
  6. I don't know how to explain this but I'll try my best. Whenever I play gta IV it works fine. But in about 10 minutes of gameplay the game freezes up but the audio still continues in the background. I can't force close it with task manager or alt+f4. Here are my currently installed mods: -LCPDFR 1.0 -Indicator Script -Superman -vDH Police helper w/ tow service -Braveheart Policing Script -LAPD Car Pack (4 Cars) -Traffic Flow -Farnsworth Business Mod -Country side Mountains V The list may seem long but I'm sure the mods are not one of the issues because after I uninstalled and reinstalled gta, it still does it without mods. It just freezes up when starting a mission. My specs are: Intel i7 4700MQ NVIDIA GeForce 755M 2GB 8GB Ram 1TB Hard Drive It MIGHT be the mods... still not sure...
  7. I also heard that Reality IV, a tyc mod, is good and it rarely lowers fps! Try it out if you got the time. http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/realityiv-20-f25401
  8. What mods do you have installed? What are your specs? No commandline can just "make it better." Here are some possible solutions: 1. Remove scripts you don't want 2. Remove car mods. Too many will cause crashing 3. Turn down graphics and don't let your processor overheat 4. Reinstall GTA IV and play with as little mods as possible
  9. Disregard. I installed the Ironman mod and forgot to put in a few folders.
  10. Here are a few POSSIBLE things you could do: 1. Remove some car mods if you have any 2. Turn down vehicle density 3. Trim down the number of scripts you have 4. Reinstall
  11. I reinstalled GTA IV and now it's crashing when I load a new game. How can I fix this? 12. No that's a different thing, that only loads up buildings. I'm talking about the trees all over the map
  13. Quick question about the third link, vp callouts. Whenever I use that script I end up having to press Alt+delete (status report) after taking a call, arriving at the scene, and not being able to do anything. It turns out I CAN'T do anything to help the people in need. Example: welfare check, the guy just lies there and I can't do anything. I use LCPDFR 1.0 and I am not able to call paramedic for him or anything. Is that happening to you also? Just wondering.
  14. My hunch was right :D lol
  15. Hello, I recently downloaded the CSMV map mod and I drove around for a few hours. Got some trouble with the cops and began a wild goose chase. Of course, I drive like a total asshole and I drove off the road and hit an "invisible wall". It appears to be a tree because whenever I hit it, leaves magically appear and fall off. Any ideas on how to fix this? Link to mod: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> There was a solution on the mod page. It tells me to install another map mod onto this one? not sure how to do that because other map mods require "paths.img" and you can't exactly add on to it... Any solution would be great, Specs: Processor: Intel i7 4700MQ Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 755M 2GB Dedicated Graphics Ram: 8GB Hard Drive: 1TB
  16. Nope, did NOT work. I DO have a good rig right? :/ or maybe I overestimated this computer...? You may be right, have you noticed that the lcpdfr.ini in the 0.95 version has "PreloadallTextures=True" or something similar to that? Well, the 1.0 version does not. I will try adding that line into the ini. It just MIGHT work :D
  17. I have a good computer, but the textures such as buildings, lamp posts, trees, take too long to load up. I usually have to set my screen at a specific part for about... 6 seconds for all the details of the buildings and trees to load up. And if I look back, all the textures behind me are gone. They must be reloaded again. All my graphic settings are at max. Any ideas how to fix this? Processor: Intel i7 4700MQ Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce 755M 2GB Ram: 8.0 GB Hard Drive: 1TB
  18. If you're talking about LCPD:FR, then you will need to apply the hotfix. It fixes the issue where you crash at police station. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/download/4607-lcpd-first-response/
  19. you guys forgot -noprecache
  20. My BEST guess is that you have too many mods installed. I would get a fresh copy of gta iv and install mods one by one, testing as you go along. once you start crashing, you'll figure out which mod crashes you :)
  21. I had the issue too... these options: 1. Use the MANUAL installation not AUTOMATIC 2. Get the latest version of scripthook i believe it's 1.7.1.7 i may be wrong 3. Make sure you have the latest version of .NetFramework i believe that's 4.5.1 i may be wrong about that also 4. Make sure you applied the hotfix and run the game as admin Sorry if the versions of the scripthook and framework are wrong, but i DO know that the issue is most likely caused by the above.
  22. Is it possible to keep a downloaded game save from the internet that works and still play multiplayer? i kinda killed dwayne
  23. Try using manual install instead of the automatic.
  24. What if you made speed bumps and the stupid ais go AROUND it . that'd be a real funny bug to watch.
