Strange problem. I installed GTA IV, and patched it to 1.0.7. I have all dependancies installed. If I run the game (start new game), it works fine. If I run a new game (or try to continue my existing game (first apartment save)), the game crashes during the loading screen with LCPDFR installed. I have tried the following things to get LCPDFR to work. 1: Made sure the GTAIV folder in C:Program Files (x86)Grand Theft Auto IV is not set to Read-Only. 2: Used Run As Administrator on both the installer for LCPDFR and the LaunchGTAIV.exe. 3: Installed LCPDFR with liveless instead of the other one (as it was also crashing with dsound). Nothing seems to work. It crashes at "The Cousins Bellic" loading screen. Makes sense, as the LCPDFR installer couldn't auto-detect my installation, and I instead has to point it to my install dir. Should I reinstall GTAIV in the Rockstar Games/GTA IV directory? Would that help? *Edit*. I managed to get the game running with LCPDFR by unchecking all of the boxes during the LCPDFR install. However, hitting alt+P does nothing (I'm guessing because the hooks aren't installed) *Edit* I went back and installed the C++ hook and the other one. This is now crashing the game when I try to load my game. Why are the hooks crashing GTA IV?
