Can you clarify what you mean by having WMP enabled? The GTA V apparently blacked out and froze as soon as I pressed Y during the bank heist callout. And searching led me to this suggestion but I am unclear on what is meant by enabling them. I already have Windows Media Player installed as it came with Windows 10. Do you mean setting certain file types to play with WMP or something? For the reference, I have most audio file types set to play in Winamp by default.

Hi, I'm relatively new to modding GTA. So far I've modded things like popcycles.dat and relationships.dat with success. But now I wanted to add sheriff patrolling around in Davis because that is their only station inside Los Santos. I would think that since sheriff's departments usually have headquarters in cities, especially in county seats, you would see sheriff's deputies around Davis station on their way to patrol the county or something. It is also my understanding that Davis is based on Compton and I know Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has contract with that city after latter disbanded its own police department so kind of another reason to add sheriff's deputies in Davis. Is there a script somewhere in a RPF that controls the spawning of sheriff peds or jurisdiction?

Presumably, given the notorious reputation of Los Santos for being a gang-ridden city, at least in the eastern and southern parts, LSPDFR will feature callouts involving gangs. It'd be interesting if, while patrolling, you stumble across some gang wars and you call in police backup to stop it. :p

Are debug keys like forcing new missions/calls still available? Thanks.

Would be interesting if they did that... putting it on Steam Community might expose this mod to greater number of players that might not have known about it previously. Of course, it's within developer's absolute prerogative to decide to do it or not. Completely up to them. Either way, LCPDFR is a great mod in its own right.

There was a random event I came across where two peds were basically shooting at each other. This was first time, as far as I can remember, that I've come across it and I've only gotten LCPDFR about a month or two ago, so it seem to be an extremely rare event. I would like to know if there is way to modify this and make it happen more frequently? Thanks. P.S. Wasn't sure if this should go in Support forum instead but this isn't an issue per se so probably not.

Sorry for delayed response. It appears that I did not get notification about newest replies in this thread. Anyhow, I will try those recommendations and report back on it. Thanks for the replies. EDIT: Forgot to answer a question. Yes it happens almost every time. Will try those steps. Thanks. Even if it is removing objects to save memory, it doesn't explain why NOOSE backup absolutely never disappears, even if LCPD backup disappears many times over. EDIT #2: It turned out, I do not have dsound installed in the GTAIV directory. I could've sworn it was there. Will try other steps.

Greetings, I'm relatively new to this so this may be wrong place to post in. If so, I apologize. I have an issue where whenever I call LCPD backup, after they arrived and I turn camera away from them and back, they would disappear. What is puzzling is that this never happen with NOOSE backup (they stay even if camera panned away from them and back). I'm really at loss as to why this happens and have searched the forum for anything about this, no luck so far. I have the following mods installed, in the order of when they were first installed: Simple Native Trainer v6.5 LCPD First Response 0.95 RC2 vDh PoliceHelper 1.2.1 beta No car or ELS mods installed, at least to my knowledge. As an additional note, I should also add that I have both dsound and xliveless DLLs in GTA4 folder but they were both put in there by SNT but I have no idea if it may cause some conflict or not. I also do not know if both DLLs are required by SNT or whether SNT can function without dsound. I am currently on GTA IV 1.0.7.0, no EFLC installed. My spec is: HP Pavilion dv7-3085dx Notebook PC GeForce GT 230M 1024MB dedicated video memory Intel Core i7 1.60 GHz 450 GB 6GB RAM Any assistance would be greatly appreciated here and if you need to ask any questions to further diagnose this, ask away. 1) The page you linked to and the in-game help for PoliceHelper seem unclear on whether it does have peds randomly out of blue start shooting at you without warning. It does says you may come across peds shooting at each other occasionally, though. 2) I'm still in early stage of playing mod and have yet to encounter this. I'm assuming it's relatively rare compared to other random event categories in Police Helper. In-game help did say there's fight. Didn't know there's both small and big fights, though. What was biggest number of participants you saw in a fight, just out of curiosity? 3) Thanks, will check this out.
