We literally only just upgraded and haven't changed a single thing except the theme.  Give us some time to bring back the structure and such!

What exactly is Windows 10? Well, it's a mix of Windows 7 and Windows 8, because some people really like the big buttons and modern look of Windows 8, and some don't, not to mention the pleading for the classic start menu back.

Honestly it's a bit too soon for a Windows upgrade, so I'll probably stay on Windows 8. Release date somewhere near the end of 2015, btw.

Not sure how many of you are into aviation (I am...alot) but saw this article today.

The Air Force has announced the next replacement for the two 747-200s that currently serve as Air Force One. The current 747-200s will be retired in 2017 and replaced by the 747-8 (is anyone surprised?). I am certainly glad that they went with the 747 over the A380 (even though I knew they wouldn't go for the Airbus); I think an A380 in Air Force One colors would look horrible. Not to mention the A380 is just a weird looking aircraft in general.   http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/28/politics/boeing-air-force-one-fleet/index.html

    That's your problem :)

The more damage they take, though, the likelier they are to stop the boat and give up.  Speaking of damage, if that is your desire, I heard the NOOSE water units with lethal force activated do a very good job of fulfilling that.  Some say they were even trained by The Squid him/her/itself.

TraePlaysGames reacted to Sam in LCPDFR 1.0d Now Released
Continuing with the ongoing development of LCPD First Response - a process which has been going on for about five and a half years now, we're excited to announce the release of the next installment in the 1.0 series, 1.0d.

LCPDFR 1.0d brings with it a number of fixes and new features. For the first time, we've also put together a comprehensive on-line guide to the new release, hopefully giving everyone more accessible information about what LCPDFR 1.0d can do, and how you can use it and this is accessible here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/page/guide.html

Among the new features added in LCPDFR 1.0d are water pursuits, red laser Tasers, multiple partners, and all new Quick Action Menu.  As always, we've taken the opportunity to fix several bugs and to increase overall stability.  For those of you who play GTA IV Multiplayer, you'll be pleased to know that improvements have been made with regards to multiplayer compatibility too.

Again, this release, along with various changes that have been happening on the website are part of a wider flurry of activity that is taking place right now at LCPDFR.com.   Of course, with this release, the focus will soon shift back to the website, and more details about that can be found in my news post from last month: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

We hope you enjoy LCPDFR 1.0d,
    Sam

You should not use Inventor, period. While it is a good program, it is *terrible* for this sort of modeling - it's a CAD program, not a generic 3D modeling program. Essentially, Inventor doesn't concern itself with things like polys, which you absolutely need to worry about for car mods. The reason is that Inventor is not designed for making models where the model is the finished product - it's designed for making models to help with building something in the real world. Instead of dealing with models as a bunch of polys, it deals with things like holes, extrusions, lofts, sweeps, etc., which get stored as those higher-level concepts (enabling you to, say, easily move a hole a bit). Do not use Inventor, AutoCAD, or any other CAD/CAM program for video game modding. It will not work.

As for 3ds max, I'd recommend you not use that to start. ZModeler is the only program that can export to IV vehicles, and so you must learn to use it anyway. Given that, for any simpler modeling jobs, use ZModeler. 3ds max really only finds a use when you are doing scratch modeling, because that's complicated enough it can be worth doing in it, but when you're starting out, ZModeler is better.

tl;dr - Don't use Inventor ever, don't use 3ds max to start out, just use ZModeler.
