    I have windows 8 and have trued all of the steps listed on the forums but none has worked for me. I have ran as admin , unchecked read only, and have uninstalled and updated my games for windows live but nothing seems to work. The message " Exception EFCCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5. Cannot create fill C:/Program Files (x86)/Rockstar Games/ Grand Theft Auto IV/asilog.text .access is denied." keeps appearing when I try to launch gta. When I run lauchgaiv.exe as admin it gets stuck on the starting new game page. PLEASE HELP!! I also have installed 7.0.1 patch and ran xliveless and came up with the same results.
