Mega9 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4 - Now AvailableFirst time playing 0.4? Check out our new getting started guide for LSPDFR 0.4: https://www.lcpdfr.com/wiki/lspdfr/04/getting-started/
About a year ago, we announced the development of LSPDFR 0.4. We said it was big, and we said it was different, but I honestly don't think any of us quite imagined just how big and different it would turn out to be, nor how much of a challenge it would be to take the concepts and ideas that we had and turn them into reality.
Still, here we are. Thousands of changes later, we're here. Everyone on the team is delighted to announce the first public release of LSPDFR 0.4, available now.
LSPDFR 0.4 brings sweeping changes which have been implemented over a number of years, so much so that we're not able to provide full release notes. Instead, we've put together a number of resources, new to LSPDFR 0.4, including a 'wiki' and a collection of more in-depth guides.
Note as well that because of this - the sheer number of things that have changed - there will be issues. We've put over two months into testing 0.4, and we've made hundreds of fixes in this time. Still, there's undoubtedly going to be things that we've missed, or things that simply can't be tested in a controlled environment. This is a big release, and we wanted to do right by all of you by getting it out as soon as we can.
With that being said, I'll shut up now and let the mod speak for itself.

Note that we strongly recommend installing LSPDFR 0.4 for the first time on a clean copy of Grand Theft Auto V with no other mods or plugins.

Mega9 reacted to Sam in LCPDFR 1.0c HotfixWe've released a hotfix which brings with it some small stability enhancements and fixes as well as some highly requested features. The hotfix, LCPDFR 1.0c is now the third patch for LCPDFR 1.0.
Along with bringing to the table a more stable experience, LCPDFR 1.0c comes packing a punch as far as features are concerned too. Since time immemorial, the ability to control traffic has been long sought after in LCPDFR. LCPDFR 1.0c now introduces the ability to set up a checkpoint with a patrol car on any road which you can then use to control the flow of traffic passing through.
As well as this, we made a big mistake when we rewrote LCPDFR for 1.0c when we forgot to convert over the old feature of drinking coffee. Again, this is something that has been widely requested and sure enough, you can now indulge in a caffeine hit while protecting the streets of Liberty City. Not only that, however, but the whole process is more interactive in that you now hold a key to drink. As an added bonus, there's even a nice drinking sound effect to go with it.
LCPDFR 1.0c is also good news for the people that like to develop with our API. There's now a bunch of new features and classes available to you allowing you control over nifty things like arrow checkpoints and blips, as well as some access to LCPDFR's internal ped data.
As always, please report any problems to us in the LCPDFR support section. Enjoy!

Mega9 reacted to Sam in LCPDFR 1.0 - Latest UpdateYou know, these have been a tough couple of days for us, especially myself and LMS. It is just incredible how something that works so well for yourself, and for all the testers, can work so horribly for others. Of course, the majority of the problems have been install related, but even still, it's just odd because I installed the public release version in full on my MacBook running Windows 8, just to test it out, and I can be happily playing away with the lighting control while at the same time seeing three threads about how it just crashes. It's truly bizarre.
Oh well, at least its not as bad as .90 or .95, lol.

Mega9 got a reaction from FCV96 in LCPDFR 1.0 - Latest UpdateJust giving my feedback.
After a clean install of GTAIV, manually installing all the components - not a single crash yet. Everything goes smooth and it's hell of a fun. Couple of minor bugs in tutorial with arrested ped teleporting and no driver in the test vehicle you should pull over. F7 - state message is saying you're busy although it sets you on duty and vice versa.
