  2. Well that's a good question. I bought the computer used with this operating system on it. I have all windows updates installed so I would think it would of give a notification if windows wasn't valid.. Am I correct?
  3. I installed all updates that are available but still no success.. I really dont know whats up, would it be something with my operating system?
  4. The following picture is a screen capture from Programs and Features:
  5. UPDATE! Using the G17 Diagnostic Tool It is now detecting GTA IV. I hadn't yet started the game through steam for the 1st time and it had to go through some other kind of installation process. Once I completed that G17 detected GTA IV. I re-installed LCPD:FR but still not working with ALT-P or CTRL-P, and also still no scripthook log. Here is what G17 log states now BEGIN *SIGNED* LCPD First Response Issue Report Diagnostics Tool Version: 0.4.3 Operating system: Windows7 Ultimate (6.1.1.0 Build: 7601) Service Pack:Service Pack 1 System RAM (GB): 4 CPU cores: 4 NET Framework 4.0 installed: True Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable installed: True GTA IV - Installed: True GTA IV - Install folder: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonGrand Theft Auto IVGTAIV GTA IV - Version: 1, 0, 7, 0 GTA IV - Asi loader installed: True GTA IV - Asi loader: DSOUND GTA IV - Asi loader valid: True GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook installed: True GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook valid: True GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook version: 0, 5, 1, 0 GTA IV - ScriptHookDotNet installed: True GTA IV - ScriptHookDotNet valid: True End of *SIGNED* LCPD First Response Issue Report Digital signature: NVjqEOW4ETj8xicP/1QCDA==
  6. It was but I had moved it after I tried running lcpdfr first with no success. Since then I haven't placed it back in the steam folder.
  7. Update.. I got the .reg file inserted corretly and now I see the folder under Local_Machine in regedit. Still no success in starting LCPD:FR
  8. Tried the steps in the link you provided and came up with this when I tried to add it to my registry.

  10. Nope, I have a ASI log but no Scripthook log From the Screen capture I posted could you see anything that I'm overlooking?
  11. I have installed SP1 but still not working.. Diagnostic tool still isnt detecting GTA IV and LCPDFR still wont start in game.
  12. That may be the answer, ill download that and report back.
  13. I don't currently see that file in my directory.
  14. Ok it still isn't working, and also none of the other mods I have tried work either
  15. So any of the things you listed to do would cause GTA IV not to be recognized?
  16. Yes I do have that option to run as administrator. If I go to control panel/ user account. My account says "administrator". Anyways, what little I know about computers I believe this problem has to do with it not detecting that I have GTA IV installed.. Other mods that I have tried police helper, speed reader ect. doesn't work either.
  17. I'm the Administrator on my computer, but everything was still installed with administrative rights.
  18. Yes I did.. Everything has been done with "administrative rights"
  19. Done, and tried to run LCPDFR again wih no success.. Why would the Diagnostic tool not detect GTA IV?
  20. So heres the latest, I purchased a computer that had been reformated with Windows 7 64bit. Done a clean install through STEAM and then I had hard drive issues so I had to re-install windows and re-download STEAM and GTA IV with the latest 1.0.7.0 again. I have installed all credentials and ran the LCPDFR installer, but I had to actually choose where my GTA IV directory was because LCPDFR installer couldn't locate it automaticlly(thought this was weird). I chose the proper directory file and LCPDFR installed successful. All files were installed properly in my GTA IV directory . The game runs perfect, so I tried ALT+P and also CTRL+P with no success. Also I checked my registry to see if I could see GTA IV under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE with no success. Although I do see it under HKEY_CURRENT_USER. I then ran the Diagnostic Tool and came up with this: BEGIN *SIGNED* LCPD First Response Issue Report Diagnostics Tool Version: 0.4.3 Operating system: Windows7 Ultimate (6.1.0.0 Build: 7600) Service Pack: System RAM (GB): 4 CPU cores: 4 NET Framework 4.0 installed: True Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable installed: True GTA IV - Installed: False GTA IV - Install folder: GTA IV - Version: GTA IV - Asi loader installed: False GTA IV - Asi loader: GTA IV - Asi loader valid: False GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook installed: False GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook valid: False GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook version: GTA IV - ScriptHookDotNet installed: False GTA IV - ScriptHookDotNet valid: False End of *SIGNED* LCPD First Response Issue Report Digital signature: 5A3i6MB8BnFULMSbTobwmw==
