  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4huXayfdZo&feature=c4-overview&list=UUT6xuCmmSsko2szpuDeWkcw This is me playing LCPDFR 1.0 with the a version hotfix. I crash about every 15 minutes so I just kinda quit playing GTA altogether lol. And to answer quick questions: -Yes im using vanilla GTA no mods, original files from steam verified. -Yes my computer can run GTA IV -Yes I've been modding GTA for about 6 months now and have tried everything so I just gave up cuz toolongdidntmod In short story I posted a thread a while asking why version RC2 .95 has a label on it that tells people to download 1.0 since it was the only version I could play without crashing with mods. A mod closed my thread and basically said "lulnope u cant remove the label banner". So now I can't take screenshots on RC2 without an annoying label telling me to download 1.0 which let's face it, was a little overhyped compared to what it brought to the tabel.
  8. Yea I mean like a bit better. I still get like 40-45 fps mid firefights. It's a nice change from 20 fps during the Alpha.
  9. That looks really nice! And of course Arma 3 makes everything look super realistic. Wish they had optimized the game a bit more though as far as frame rates go.
  10. GTX 660 is already obsolete lol. It was whenever the 270 series came out. And the 800 series will come out within the next 2-3 months. I made the mistake of buying a 660Ti like 2 months before the 700 series came out around this time as well. The 660 from EVGA might have better cooling by 10-20 degrees and memory clock speed by a small amount, but the 270 and 270X has a pretty noticeable difference in 3D Mark score and overall performance. I just think Nvidia overprices their products a lot because they can get away with it and people will still buy them.

  12. Most systems don't even use 700 watts at full load anyway unless you're running SLI or 3 cards. You're looking at around 300-400 watts MAX when playing something like Battlefield 3 or running a really intensive benchmark. My PC doesn't even reach over 100 watts running Prime 95 and SI Software.
  13. I'm not really a huge fan of laptops, especially ones released now at the moment. If you are really set on a mobile device such as a laptop look for one with an SSD and hard drive combo because usually the hard drive is the first to fail on a laptop since they are tossed around a lot. Also, if you are willing to wait a year or two, Nvidia is working on some great stuff with SLI integration into gaming laptops, they actually have certain laptops on the market now that have open GPU slots so you can add another GPU when you want to upgrade.
  14. That's the spirit haha. It's literally just like building with legos and plugging in stuff.
  15. I've been saying this for like a few weeks now. I don't know how quickly you need to build this PC, but you're probably better off waiting for Maxwell to come out. Nvidia is discounting a lot of their 700 series cards right now on Newegg and usually that is key when knowing they will release their new series. Also I've been hearing a LOT of rumors about Maxwell coming along nicely so it might even get released sooner than March if we're lucky. The 700 series have been out for almost a year now so we should expect some newer cards coming out (even from AMD side with their 290 series, there's only been about 3 non reference cards come out). So if you absolutely HAVE to get this built now go with the 760 Hawk. It's a really nice card.
