The introduction cutscene and mission to GTA VI has leaked on Chinese social media platform BiliBili by user Ape01who claims to have gained access to a Rockstar Cinematic Director's private portfolio. Grand Theft Auto Online seems to be about to go into its final iteration, with the most recent update’s story ending with a teaser for a last confrontation with the mysterious Mr. Faber. It’s been a long ride, with many highs and lows, and an absolute pleasure to cover the game throughout – but I have some thoughts on a few final updates our beloved unexpected live service game should get before it’s laid to rest.

After being delayed for the second time, Grand Theft Auto VI is now slated for release on November 19th, 2026. Though a third delay is widely speculated due to controversies plaguing the company, most notably the recent firings of over 30 employees, the extra time allows players to experience previous iterations of the iconic series.
