LCPD First Response 1.1
Download LCPDFR 1.1 Download GTA IV: Complete Edition compatibility fixesThe LCPD First Response (LCPDFR) Mod, is a modification for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV (and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City) which turns the entire concept of GTA titles upside down, and puts the player on the other side of the thin blue line - arresting crooks, not working for them.
LCPDFR 1.1 is the latest release in the 1.x series, bringing with it a number of fixes and new features. For the first time, we've put together a comprehensive on-line guide to the new release, hopefully giving everyone more accessible information about what LCPDFR 1.1 can do, and how you can use it.

Quick Action Menu
Overview
The Quick Action Menu has been rebuilt from the ground-up in LCPDFR 1.0d. Your feedback told us that while the QAM was a very useful new feature, it was difficult to use in certain circumstances and the interface design left a lot to be desired.
Now, the QAM takes on an entirely new design, based on vertical scrolling and separation of options into groups.
What's New
We’ve added a bunch of new options to the QAM as well. Those familiar with the earlier versions of LCPDFR might remember being able to make their character speak by pressing some keys on their numpad. This has been reintroduced to LCPDFR in 1.0d, but is now contained within the new QAM group for ‘Speech’
The QAM is now arranged into the following groups:
- General
- Backup
- Partner
- Speech
Plus, with the addition of multiple partners in 1.0d, there’s two partner subcategories: primary and secondary, which can be used to give orders to specific partner groups.
The QAM can now also be used to request all kinds of backup available. We thought this would be particularly useful for players using game console controllers.
How to Use
The QAM menu is brought up in the same way, by pressing and holding Caps Lock (Left Thumb on an Xbox 360 Controller). From there, you can move the mouse vertically to highlight options. To select the highlighted option, release your hold of the Caps Lock key. Selecting ‘Cancel Menu’, which is always the first and default option in the QAM, will simply hide the menu again.
To navigate between categories within the menu, simply press Tab (LB and RB on an Xbox 360 Controller). This will allow you to cycle through all categories. If hidden and then brought up again, the QAM will show the options of the last visible category.
The Partner category is special - it has two subcategories within it for the primary and secondary partner groups. By default, selecting an option from the Partner category of the QAM will result in the option applying to all partners. Alternatively, you can use the middle mouse button (Right Thumb on Xbox 360 Controller) to cycle between the secondary and primary partner groups. In this case, the option will only apply to the selected partner group.

Partners
Overview
In all prior versions of LCPDFR, the player has always been restricted to having one partner. This changes in LCPDFR 1.0d, with the introduction of multiple partners, allowing the player to have up to three fellow officers assist them.
What's New
The player can now recruit up to three partners, who are automatically divided up into two groups for easier control.
The first partner that the player recruits is referred to as the Primary Partner.
The second and third partners that the player recruits become the Secondary Partners
Using the new Quick Action Menu, it is now possible to give orders to the Primary Partner and the two Secondary Partners.
We also introduced some new things for partners to do in 1.0d. They can now follow the player in their own vehicles or be commanded to deploy their stun gun on the person the player is aiming at.
We thought these changes would be especially helpful for those who like to play as SWAT teams and such.
How to Use
The player can recruit a Police Officer to be their partner by targetting them and pressing G.
Alternatively, one partner can be recruited per each visit the player makes to a police station.
To give orders to partners, the Quick Action Menu can be used.
To have your partner follow you in a vehicle, aim at the vehicle, then bring up the QAM where the option will be shown.
Hot Pursuit on the Humboldt
LCPDFR now, for the first time, features water-based action. Dotted around the map, players can find LCPD Patrol Boats which can be used to conduct maritime patrols. Ocasionally, there may be callouts related to suspicious activity at sea, which will allow the player to jump into a water pursuit of a fleeing vessel.

To complement this new gameplay, there are also now two water-based assistance options availalable to the player in the form of backup from other LCPD Patrol Boats and also NOOSE Tactical Units, which will deploy, heavily armed, in black dinghies.

Flashlights and Lasers

In another throwback to older versions of LCPDFR, we've experimented a little with some possibilites offered by the new AdvancedHook by our own LMS, to add back flashlights (only for partners as an experimental test), and for the first time, red laser dots on Tasers (for everyone).
Autosave and Restore
LCPDFR 1.1 also includes a new Autosave feature which will save, in a decent amount of detail, the current state of your game every 30 seconds. In combination with the new Restore functionality, LCPDFR can attempt to restore the game to the state it was in at the last autosave, by restoring the player to where they were, setting them back on duty, and recreating vehicles, people and weapons.
Other Changes
Pursuits
- Traffic and pedestrian density is now dynamically adjusted by LCPDFR during pursuits, relative to your Traffic Density graphics setting. This is lowered as the pursuit progresses, and will be significantly affected by gunfire.
- The rear passengers of NOOSE Stockades in pursuits will be able to shoot from the vehicle now if lethal force is active.
Grabbing
- You can now use the grab functionality on suspects that are in water - this can be used to drag them ashore (climbing out works too).
Multiplayer
- We've worked hard to significantly improve stability by fixing entity ownership issues, bugs related to model changing, and by notifying other players of actions
- Typing in the multiplayer chatbox will no longer trigger any LCPDFR keys
API
- Fixed bug in DelayedCaller where adding a callback from a callback caused issues.
- Persona data can now be replaced
- Added function to get partner
- PlaySound allows multiple sounds now (split using " ")
- Added DisablePullver property for vehicles
- Added event for when ped is looked up in police computer
- Added function to get current pullover and vehicle pulled over
- Added world events
- Added function to get all partner peds
- Added MakeCameraFocus for LPed (like LCPDFR world events)
- New API examples, featuring partner and traffic stop interaction + a simple brawl world event
Lights and Sirens
- Added the ability to have wig-wag strobing head and tail lights on all siren enabled vehicles (disabled by default due to potential stability issues with vehicle mods - must be enabled in the settings file)
Settings
- Under “Main”, added “AutoSaveEnabled”, to enable or disable the new autosave feature
- Under “Callouts”, added “DisableBoatCallouts”, to disable water-based callouts from being generated.
- Under "Callouts" added "ForceStaticPositionForBoats" which can be set to either false or true (false is default). If true, the dynamic lookup for a proper spawn position is skipped and a prerecorded static position is used. Useful if you seem to get performance frame drops on callout creation.
- Under "Pursuits" added "ForceStaticPositionForBoatBackup", same as above.
- Under “Pursuits”, added “SirenStrobeLights”, which can be used to enable or disable the wig-wag head/tail lights as described above
Even more
- As with every LCPDFR release, we've made efforts to improve overall stability.
