no, there was an shootout between the LCPD and some High Armed Gang Members and Badass Squad killed the Gang Members. But the Sad part is, the Badass Squad comes too late(be cuz the Officers lay Dead before the Squad comming)

Let's be honest, either I think there's some strange graphics setting for EFLC (well, I only played the console version of it), or there's some really dodgy graphics setting going on here.
