Why is it that there is red and white in front, and red and blue in back? New York State Law prohibits the use forward facing red and blue lights, red and white only for official emergency vehicles, blue/white or green/white lights are strictly for use in volunteer POV's for use as courtesy lights, however for rear facing lights, anything goes hahah. But on another note, being from the Buffalo area, these look amazing!!! I cannot wait to have them in-game, I hope there's a charger to accompany them??? Edited November 19, 20178 yr by SIERRA16

Actually that law is more of a suggestion, as a lot of departments will use forward red and blue lighting, and departments that do use forward r/w usually use it out of tradition or because they are run by the state government like NYPD and NYSP but essentially it is up to the chief. FDs and Ambos have free reign over that though especially the FDNY will run forward blues a lot, and so will private or public ambulance companies. But yeah what you said is why Buffalo uses that r/w lighting. Sorry if that sounded hostile lol, just didnt want any misconceptions :) Edited November 20, 20178 yr by t0y

Actually the blue/white (VFF) and green (volunteer EMS, white is not permitted, one green light view-able from 360 degrees) are no longer courtesy lights. Our governor passed a law a couple years ago making it that you have to pull over for them.

Which is why big depts comply but little depts usually don't. It's generally up to the installer to "enforce" it. 9 hours ago, SIERRA16 said: I hope there's a charger to accompany them??? Maybe???
