A Canine Handler with Lakeview County Police stopped a vehicle on New Years Eve right before midnight, and while dealing with the operator and other occupant, had suspicions that the two were intoxicated. After learning that the operator had a suspended licence for driving while under the influence of alcohol a few months ago, the officer attempted to place the operator in handcuffs, which in turn, lead to the operator becoming aggressive with the officer initiating a fight. The other occupant then began to flee, and the operator, successfully pushing away from the officer, began to run as well.

The officer requested backup, and in a short amount of time, both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged by police.
