Weighing a total of 881lbs (dry), 367lbs heavier than the equivalent BMW R1200RT-P (bear in mind that according to Google the average American weighs 166lbs). That's equivalent to 2.2 extra people in weight. A bigger engine CC, smaller horsepower output, rated at a top speed of 105mph (after a lengthy acceleration) , compared to 125mph of the BMW. Still existing problems with the heat being emitted by the engine being close to the rider. They're good bikes, for those who don't have to be anywhere in a hurry, and prefer comfort over performance, and who generally just like straight lines ;) But I mean, yeah, whatever floats your boat...

You could pretty much say the same for any car produced prior to about 2006. But nothing made today will overcome a classic cruiser of pure hardened steel. None of these plastic buckets.

Some people like classics, prefer classics to modern cars. My idea is that classics are okay, but a modern vehicle wins hands down every time. Safer, more reliable, less sensitive to weather, drivable whenever, etc. It's within the US police departments interest to buy Harley Davidson, it keeps the company afloat.
