Today the Harbor County Sheriff's Office unveiled its newest public relations program, a Dodge Charger patrol car decorated in a special D.A.R.E livery. The D.A.R.E program has been used across the country since 1983 as a tool to educate kids about the dangers of involvement in gang and drug activity and promote law enforcement. Sheriff Shaw and all the deputies of the Harbor County Sheriff's Office are proud to bring the D.A.R.E program to Liberty City schools.
In this promotional photograph featuring the HCSO D.A.R.E car, Sheriff Shaw can be seen with a group of Liberty City residents admiring the patrol car. The DARE car will be making public appearances throughout Liberty City at schools, sporting events, auto shows, and other public gatherings to promote a drug free lifestyle and a positive interaction with law enforcement personnel.
