Illusionyary 4,632 Posted September 26, 2015 i hope it's for personal use? because i am busy with a version with this lightbar fully upgraded. At the moment, yes. This vehicle was put together simply to showcase textures. It will be released at some point however, I'm just waiting on more parts. This lightbar released?Yes, it's on F5544's unlocked Stanier. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8696-police-stanier-lspd-mx7000/ Quote Link to comment
F5544 1,218 Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) No this is not opensource released. at the time there was no lock option. But it is courtesy to ask for permission first. before release.but now i have to lock the old cars for this. thanks.....I am bit stunned to found it out this way. Time ask before saying that you release it.From now on i will release my lightbars locked. Edited September 26, 2015 by F5544 Quote Link to comment

Only a friendly question here. Quote Link to comment
Illusionyary 4,632 Posted September 26, 2015 No this is not opensource released. at the time there was no lock option. You never specified this and how does taking a picture of your light-bar on a different car harm you in any way, shape or form? But it is courtesy to ask for permission first. before release.I'm not releasing it and won't be for some time, as I said, I'm waiting on more development parts. F5544 1,218 Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) "This vehicle was put together simply to showcase textures. It will be released at some point however, I'm just waiting on more parts."With this sentence i got a bit stunned. It's courtesy to ask first for permission. and then saying you want to release it. But the way you said it that you release it without notifying me before is not nice. I don't mind releasing this, when people ask for permission but i like to be informed. These are no Dev parts.Dev parts you can use without permission but with credits. but not from other cars. That's the difference.this is not about the pictures. The pictures i don't mind either. For personal use you can do with it what you like. And btw the textures are great. If it's such a big deal to you, why release it in the first place? You never stated anyone had to ask. Only a friendly question here.at that time, there was no lock option. And i would not to exclude the others for playing with this car. Netman005 804 Posted September 26, 2015 And here starts the car modding drama... It's sad to see what car modding have come to be. Quote Link to comment
Deactivated Member 0 Posted September 26, 2015 No but it's courtesy to ask first for permission. But the way you said it that you release it without notifying me before is not nice. I don't mind releasing this, when people ask for permission but i like to be informed. These are no Dev parts.Wouldn't it be best for everyone if that was stated in the file's description? A lot of people would assume you wouldn't care with all of your previous contributions to the file section. Nobody on here is a mind-reader. You shouldn't rely on courtesy as your protection, there's not a rule for it. Especially if they see it as unlocked. Quote Link to comment

I don't mind releasing this, when people ask for permission but i like to be informed. These are no Dev parts.Permission for what? To take a photo of it? Of course I would ask permission before releasing the vehicle itself, but I'm not doing that, I'm taking a picture of it. I don't need permission to take pictures of a public light-bar that was offered to the community on an unlocked model. Now I understand that at the point of releasing the file there was no lock option, however you should have specified that you'd rather not have people take parts from the model or just not release the file at all. F5544 1,218 Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) I have changed it in the description. and no carmodding drama. Because i don't hope it. I have trust in the community, most of the people will ask it nice. And most of the time i will release my things as dev parts.no nothing about the picture only about the way you said it. in the red. But you explained yourself. I have corrected the files now. btw i have upgraded to whole lightbar. it looks a lot better now. On a cvpi lapd.Wouldn't it be best for everyone if that was stated in the file's description? A lot of people would assume you wouldn't care with all of your previous contributions to the file section. Nobody on here is a mind-reader. You shouldn't rely on courtesy as your protection, there's not a rule for it. Especially if they see it as unlocked.you're right. i fixed it. i hoped i could relied on it. Most of the modders are so closed with their stuff. I don't want to be one of those guys Edited September 26, 2015 by F5544 Quote Link to comment
Illusionyary 4,632 Posted September 26, 2015 no nothing about the picture only about the way you said it. in the red. But you explained yourself. I have corrected the files now. btw i have upgraded to whole lightbar. it looks a lot better now.I apologize for this. I thought you were annoyed that I had taken the part itself and then taken a picture of it, not that I said that I may release the model. For the record, I would never release a file that I did not have permission for and as I've said twice, this model was simply created to showcase textures, I never specified that I would definitely release it. However, given that this lightbar was on an unlocked model with no terms of use, I'm amazed that nobody had taken it before I did. That's good to hear, I've always been a fan of the MX7000.
