I just thought the grill lights are a bit 'over used' (nothing against them though) and thought that maybe the lights would look better under the plate. 

What do you guys think. Yes/no? I really don't mind either way

I need to see another view honestly to decide whether I like this or not. Maybe it's not best on a Crown Victoria, but another vehicle (though I know you may not have any other real life vehicle to work with).

grill lights are not there just "for the look" They are placed in the grill so they can be seen in the rear view mirror when the emergency vehicle is close.

Yup, and down there they're pretty hard to see...
