We now go to our breaking story where Westlake County Police are on scene of what we're told is a drug overdose. One individual is dead and another is in serious condition after consuming an unknown drug.

Police Officer Justin Peters of the Westlake County Police Department gave a statement.

"At this time it's unclear as to the exact amount, or the type of narcotics taken, however what we can confirm is that one individual has passed away due to the substance they consumed."

Police are not providing any more information as the investigation is ongoing, but they did state the individuals involved were younger in age, and hope this incident can provide insight to the younger population about how dangerous certain drugs can be when taken.
