I can definitely understand your sentiments. Being a developer myself, I've taken steps to protect the source code of my GTA V plugins, as I've heard horror stories of other developers' plugins being decompiled and redistributed. So I definitely see where you are coming from, and I agree with you 100%.

That being said though, I do think it would be beneficial if the best lightbar could be used on vehicles being released for the newest installment of the GTA series, if you would be willing to reconsider your decision at all.

Please don't get me wrong. You put the work and effort in, so its your lightbar, and as such, everyone should respect your terms of use. You are more than entitled to protect your work. And apparently there are viable alternatives (I'm not up to date when it comes to vehicle modelling), then that is perfectly okay.

You're right, the modeler does draw the short end of the stick. I've seen a bit of that as a script developer, but certainly not to that extent, of course.

Like I said, it would be nice if we had all of the best work in the community available as new models come out for GTA V. But I'm sure someone will come along and develop many great lightbar and vehicle models for GTA V as time goes on.

Regardless, I just wanted to say that I support your comments 100%. No one should be allowed to just skate around terms of use that way, and any backlash you get for that is 100% uncalled for.

EDIT: And I forgot to add, @Sentinel55, that is some awesome work, and I can't wait to see the finished product! Seeing these vehicles near completion is making me feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning!!

Not really, I'm using a vanilla lightbar at the moment.

Next year? Wow that's a lot.. I mean, I understand the work but is not working enough to release at least a beta?
With the default lightbar for now, I'm pretty sure people would have a blast still.
Then I understand that it is always better to release a finished and polished product.

Where does it say next year? I can't find it. Can you quote it for me. Surely it must be a joke. I agree a beta would be fine if you couldn't finish it till next year, if that is true.

Because I don't know how long it takes to finish the conversion. Period. If everything goes well, I can release the car in a few weeks. But, if something goes wrong, or I just don't want to work on the car for a few months, you'll just have to wait. That's it.
