Steel wheel version

Is this based on a real unit?

i started out with just putting together this style CHP Tahoe. i see them aboard our training center all the time. Some users just wanted to see a steel wheel version so i made a commercial skin for it. 

Ah, very cool. Yeah I saw you were doing that unit. Both look great. It's a shame the CHP doesn't have more diversity in their fleet. Still, they're one of my favorite agencies, and obviously I don't know TOO much about em. What's the deal with those Tahoe's? Are they used by high ranking officers or are they used as off road capable patrol units? Seems they only have a handful.

The ones i see daily are used for training instructors, Commander Vehicles, accident investigation or incident commands, and convoy route control.
