Officer's responded to a Code 99 activation at 02:48PM from a Vehicle traffic stop in Downtown Los Angeles. Backup arrived on scene to an active gunfight with the primary office and two suspects.
Both suspects we're shot and unfortunately died due to their injuries. An officer was also shot by the suspects but is recovering in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. San Andreas Avenue remains closed while investigators review why the suspects opened fire on an officer.
