Domestic Dispute leads to Fight. 4 in Custody, 3 injured.
Yesterday Anchorage Police Department received a 911 call on a domestic dispute in Hove beach in a clothing shop. Upon arrival, APD Officer, Kevin Jefferson, was stunned to see the number of people involved in the dispute. A total number of 7 individuals were part of the dispute. As the officer attempted to calm the individuals down and understand the situation, things got out of hand. A backup Unit was called in and it is believed that APD Sgt, Katherine Law, arrived on scene and attempted to calm the situation down as well. However, both APD officers attempts failed and a fight broke out. As they are out numbered, the Officers Alerted the Dispatch for Trooper Back up which arrived shortly. Alaska State Troopers Supervisor, Lieutenant James Peterson, arrived on scene to assist the officers. During the scuffle, both APD officers were injured on the process of apprehending 2 of the individuals believe to have started the dispute. Lieutenant James later managed to calm the situation down and placed 4 people in custody after review the incident on a Closed-Circuit Television in the store. 3 Injured individuals were also placed in custody but were sent to the nearest hospital for treatment. It is believed that the dispute started out when 2 individuals wanted to by the same Jacket,with the jacket being the only one left before it ran out of stock. An investigation is still on going on this Incident. 2 Individuals have been charged with Assault on a Police Officer after they attacked the APD Officers. No other charges have been brought against them. The other 5 Individuals remain in custody and no formal charge has been brought against them yet. More to Come - FOX News
