PinkHusky Members December 23, 201114 yr Author stats The car is hosted on GTApolicemods.com, but as for the skin, I can't release it due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement in my line of work that prevents me from publicly releasing mods that I create, since they could be inspired from a game that we may be working on. Even though those that I have done so far, ever since I started working with this NDA, I have never based off my work from any IPs owned by the company. I just want to be on the safe side here, don't want to be sued for a couple of hundred thousands because of a breach of the NDA. I will investigate a little bit further with the HR and legal dept after the holidays and see if those could be released, since they are in no way associated to an IP we owned, but rather a different company or a city. BTW, if you want to know for which company I work for, search for one of my post in the forums or check my profile. You will understand why I am cautious with the NDA stuff...
Molten Members December 23, 201114 yr Author stats My cousin is a QA dealing mostly with Audio and he's the same way about NDA. Makes him paranoid but with good reason. Like you said there are a couple of hundred thousand reasons to be cautious. That's at the extreme but at a more realisic level loosing your job is a very real danger.
Slimory Members December 23, 201114 yr Author stats That's not really fair too you, seeing as this was done on personal time, was it not?
PinkHusky Members December 23, 201114 yr Author stats Yes it was done on my own personal time, at my home, but still, they want to cover they bases on their IPs, which is entirely understandable and a couple of millions dollars may be in jeopardy if any thing leaks out about an IP prior to press releases and so on. I do textures for 2 reasons, for the fun of it and maybe get a texturing job later on. I just have to get my head around UV mapping (Unwrap) with 3DSMax, haven't fiddle with it enough. I know that there is a bunch of plugins that can do it for you, but I like to learn the hard way, so I can understand really how it works.
Molten Members December 23, 201114 yr Author stats btw just a small suggestion for future pics. Clean your car before taking a screenshot :)
PinkHusky Members December 23, 201114 yr Author stats I know, just didn't change the dirt decal on that model, personally, I hate how fast the cars get dirty in GTA, that is why I change the decal to an all black square. BTW Molten, which QA your cousin is working at?
Molten Members December 23, 201114 yr Author stats he works for Creative Assembly in Horsham ... it is in the UK. Not sure but I think he worked on most of the Total war series. He was the lead guitar player in a metal band called cradle of filth and also a band called Rotted. dragon lord and Sarah Jezebel Deva....so with his music background and his computer background as well he is well suited for Audio QA. Just found out he was a tester with GT Interactive as well for a while
