Hello! i would like to suggest you add on the vehicle downloads page an option to look for  a replacement or an add-on, personally i only go for replacement and i hate when i see a nice car but can't use it because i only go for replacing my default ones!

98% of the time "add on" cars can be used as replaced.  The other 2% is when the car has special carcols, but even then, you can replace your carcol files with that one to make it work.  You can even take vehicles that have their own dlcpack and take the vehicle out of said pack to use as a replace. 

 

Also, even though this is the LSPDFR community, some people make fivem based downloads that include server files and say "add-on only".  That's not the case, that vehicle can be a replace vehicle.  They just include server files for other fivem users.

 

There's really no such thing as "add-on only" or "replace only".
