game crashing 20 - 30 minutes in game (GTA IV)

Featured Replies

So I read some threads and forums and a lot of people say modding police, police2, and fbi makes your game crash.... and that is my problem. But is there a way to replace police, police2, and fbi without it making my game crash? is there an special application that prevents that from happening? because if I can play with modded police, police2, and fbi then I might as well go crazy, and those are like the only cars I use.

if you use High-Poly cars that could cause a lot of strain on your system, and really the only way to improve it, is to upgrade your computer with a monster CPU, RAM and GFX card.

Give us your computers specs, and we can see if your computer is ok for the game or not.

yes I am using elsV6, Ivdashcam 2.2, simple fuel mod,Traffic flow mod,and vdh tow service.

ok ELSV6 is known to be buggy, I no longer use it, and experience increased play times. Try ELS V5, it's more stable.

*EDIT* Stupid double postings, idk why it's doing this.

Ok 1st off, you could have a NASA computer but that won't help at all because GTA 4 is very unstable for the computer. Mods just make it more unstable.

Like he said USE ELS v5, if you still crash use non-ELS cars for police and police 2. Because they are the one's that patrol the map and use ELS. Try not to use 3rd party models they tend to be buggy and unfinshed and high rate of crash. So only use well knowing modders. Such as Bxbugs or someone else who has release quite a few of car models.

Make sure your using the latest version of scripthook.net ( that was the solution for me)

Believe it or not some texture mods make the game loading on the computer easier thus increasing FPS
