Gta Texture loss

Hello,

I could be wrong, but texture loss is usually associated with lack of game memory. What all do you have installed in terms of third-party equipment (mods, plugins, and callouts)?

Thanks! 🙂

Open your GTA directory, and go into the lspdfr folder.  Open the LSPDFR INI/config and look at the very top option, main.preloadallmodels.  Set to false.

This should help.

Yeah that helped. Thanks man.

done the false thing before but still had texture loss. thing is i just have so many textures as I'm obsessed with variety. all my trucks have damn near 20 liveries. same with buses, construction vehicles and vans. if you're like me you're better off lowering your graphics.

In addition to the lowered graphics, I was told (have not confirmed myself) that if you set the "texture quality" settings to medium or lower, you'll never have texture loss.  The downside to this is that your game looks like shit.

did that as part of my downgrading. many graphics are now all blurry but at least the game is playable

I was able to fix this problem by reverting to DirectX 10... not 10.1, but 10. This fixed all my texture loss problems I was experiencing. Hope this works for you, as it was EXTREMELY frustrating to me and disappointing. I noticed no performance loss when I reverted to Dx 10.
