Request backup before stopping vehicle

Is there a way to request backup, for a Felony stop, before I stop the vehicle?  Seems to me this is the more realistic approach, have a backup unit with you before the stop is initiated.

No there isn't.

 

I don't know if you watch LivePD.

Most of the felony stop in that show usually started with only one unit performing traffic stop.

and after the cop pointed the gunpoint and asked the suspect to stay in the car, then the backups came a few minutes later.

Thanks Pazzi, I was a police dispatcher a while ago.  It was pretty common for an officer to follow the suspect until a backup unit could meet him/her and then initiate the stop together.  That is of course, if a unit is available.
